Question about Casio Exilim EX-V7 Digital Camera
No way found to get it recognized as a USB device whatever on standard Windows XP professional. Any suggestions ?
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Good model! If you just purchased it, its always a good idea to exchange it if you can. Otherwise, make sure to take out the battery, wait for 20 seconds, put it back in then restart it. Some times this just resets your devices. Otherwise, it might be something in between the battery connection and the power cord. Keep us posted. Good luck!

You don't. That is something that Casio will have to fix. Call 18007062534 and choose option 2. Tell them you have a stabilizer error and they will tell you how to go about sending it in.
