Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P200 Digital Camera
My camera got splashed with water from my grandkids. Now it will not power on with the battery. It works just fine when pluged in the the ac but will not work under battery. I have replaced the battery with no luck and yes the battery is fully charged. Any ideas on fixing this is appreciated. It is out of waranty and sending it back to sony is more expensive then buying a new camera.
Thanks for your help.
When the water got into the circuit the full batter charge likely caused a short across a blocking diode and shorted it out.
its on the board and likely close to the battery cables, but this is micro electronics and requires a completed disassembly.
I'd sell it on ebay with the exact issue.
