Re: Virus photo_023

I have come across many problems resemble to yours. i tried to remove that such a virus using Avira Antivirus, it works with that kind of worms.

you just go to this site and download the progamme, install in your machine and it will work.

if you can afford, you may buy but there is a free version that is good too.

Re: Virus photo_023

Go to your set program access and default and go to change or remove programme and search for screen saver named Photo_023 and remove it.
if it is not removed then format your c:drive only.

When i turn on my laptop it ask for a password in blue and then there is a blinking curser and black screen it wont do anything after that unless i press f2 reapeatedly or f12 but i cant fix nothing on the...

There are two types of password:
1. BIOS password. To remove the BIOS password, the solution is, remove the BIOS battery. Location of the BIOS battery, the bottom of the laptop. So you have to unscrew the bottom of the laptop, find the BIOS battery and release approximately 7 seconds, then plug it back. Then, turn on the laptop, enter the BIOS by pressing F2, do the setting the date, time, etc.

2. Password Log on. When turning on the laptop, and log on, then we are asked to enter a password, but we never give password to log on. However, when we enter the password, always fails, it means the virus-infected operating system (operating system has been controlled by a virus). These cases often I meet, the Windows XP operating system is infected with the virus. The solution is to reinstall the operating system. Repair operating system, or breaking into password virus, I've tried, but always failed. So, the best solution is to reinstall the operating system.

If you are using Windows 7, you can fix with, insert the Windows operating system CD, then boot from the CD Room. Solutions you can do:

Boot from CD Room, select Next - select Repair your computer - Next - select System Image Recovery

2. Boot from CD Room - select Next - select Install now - check the "I accept the license terms" - Next - select Custom (advanced). Then, select the drive where you installed windows - Next. Wait for your operating system install process to complete. Then enter your user name, etc.

After entering the desktop, don't open drive C, D, E, F, because the drive is still infected with the virus. All you have to do is, connect your laptop to the Internet, download anti-virus. You can use free anti-virus (Avira or AVG), then anti-virus updates. After the update is complete, do a virus scan, drive C, D, E, F. If a virus is detected, Primary action = repair, Secondary action = delete.

After drive C, D, E, F clean from viruses, you can open the drive C, D, E, F. You don't have to worry about losing data, because Windows 7, will backup your data in a folder Windows.old. In Windows.old folder, there are three folders: Program files, Users, Windows. Data stored in My Documents, can be found in the Users folder.

If you have trouble, you can send an email.

hope it helps

Photo card stuck in laptop, also turn off sleep mode

By design the photo card needs to be pushed in to be pulled out. Try pushing it in to see if it will then pop out enough to allow you to grab it with your fingers.

You can adjust your power setting by right clicking on your desktop and selecting properties (if in XP) and going to the screen saver tab. If you are using Vista or Windows 7 user the search area in the start menu to seach for power settings.

I would recommend you to run a Virus Removal Tool named Combofix, this is a very powerful utility, which removes almost all the infections from your computer that are not removed by most of the Antivirus programs available in the market

When powering up it will go to the windows xp screen

HI. This will happen if the core system file bank has been compromised by a virus or malicious software. I suspect the virus has wiped out all restore points and has completely disabled all safe mode access points as well..Unfortunately, you will lose all your saved information that you have stored on the partitioned hard drive due to this attack. The only way to fully restore this system to its factory settings would be to locate a recovery disk that should have been shipped along with this unit. Use this disk to restore the core system files and the main operating system as well. If you don't have the recovery disk that was sent with your unit, a Windows XP disk will preform the same action and, will restore this unit to factory specs as well, minus the software pack. There is a possible way to restore this system and keep the hard drive as is but, this can only be attempted by using the original recovery disk that was sent with the unit and, its not always successful. I recommend totally re formatting the drive to clear it of all data. this will assure that the virus and all of its contents are removed.

Please rate and god bless.

Not able to open windows

Sounds like a hard Drive problem. A virus actually. The Best thing to do if Safe Mode Failed is the Repair Your system, to do this insert your XP CD and wait until it says 'Press any key to boot CD' Press any key and follow instructions to repair windows. If it works, run a virus scan immediately. If Not, take it itno a computer technitian to look at it if you want the stuff on your Hard Drive, of if you feel you don't care too much just wipe the Hard Drive and Re-Install Windows XP. just do the same thing as repair but instead follow the instructions for Installing XP and choose either Clear or Erase Hard drive if you don't want the info or choose don't clrear or Erase if you really want stuff from your hard drive, But run a Virus scan Immediately asap.

Hope This Helps

this is what sounds like a trojan or for of spyware, probably disguised as a screen saver. If you have no anti virus installed download this programme for free If you have no anti spyware programme download this for free. on the laptop press Ctrl, Alt & delete or right click on task bar to get to the task manager and on the processes tab look for the scrensaver.exe or similair that is running, click on it and press end process. this should allow you to work with windows Install the programmes, then go to system restore tab in my computer>right click>properties>system restore tab and click 'turn off system restore'(this will stop any virus or spyware backups reinstalling). Run both the programmes and remove any spyware or virus. If it still appears you may have to uninstall it safe mode, which is press F8 key on start up and select 'start windows in safe mode' and run the antivirus and spyware programmes again.
