Question about Canon GL2 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
The color purple appears blue in the viewfinder and on the tape playback. The camera was sent back to Canon for a warranty repair two years ago, but the problem came back. Camcorder is a 3-year old Canon GL2.
I have the same problem on my Canon XH-A1 and sony TRV33. I wonder if this problem applies to all camcorders?

This is usually caused by an oxidized, misaligned or defective Audio/Video drum. You can try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be serviced by a qualified service technician.
