Question about Nintendo DS Console

1 Answer

Moisture under top screen

I was trying to remove some crap on the top screen left by a screen protector i'd removed and a drop of the monitor cleaning fluid i used has gotten under the top screen. i've left it for about two days now and it's not showing any signs of clearing up; it's spread out across the centre of the screen now so i doubt it's gotten into any of the electronics, so will i be able to power it on without damaging it or should i wait for it to dry out?

Re: moisture under top screen

Well if it got in it will eventually come out. However it could takes weeks or even a few months for the condensation to completely go away.

If i were you i would open it up and dry it out but if you don't have the knowledge to do it or are just nervous to void your manufacturer's warranty then i'd just wait it out til it goes away.

One thing that may work. If you have a dehumidifier put it on top of it and turn it on. Dehumidifiers suck the moisture out of the air. It may work however i doubt it.
