DRIVERS cannot to connect to internet to download drivers and there is no where to connect to my wired pc to see if i can do it from there help

Download the drivers to a usb drive using the computer you used to post this.

You can download the drivers from the Compaq/HPWEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model computer/laptop and the XP Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click onthis link to download the drivers: -

Go to a friend, neighbor, or your local library and download the lan drivers to a flashdrive from www.toshiba.com and install them on your computer. Then you will be able to connect to the internet from you computer and complete the drivers download from Toshiba. Happy hunting and please let me know how it goes.

No, you don't need to download the drivers you have to looked for the motherboard installer of your PC, then install the chipset of your motherboard in order for you to use the internet connection.

1. if you have wireless, purchase or borrow an add on usb wireless stick. this will allow you to access the internet and add in your missing drivers. 2. or add in a pci card that has ethernet connection to get your drivers. 3. use someone elses computer and download the drivers from the IBM site, put them on a usb stick and then apply them to your unit, (ie more the ethernet driver as a primary and then you can download the remaining ones as you go after it is working. hope this helps.

Make sure the drivers are installed for your wireless adapter. XP sometimes overlooks adapters during installation. Check the Device Manager for any yellow exclamation points. If you find one, uninstall it and click on the top item (your computer). Right-click the same device and then click Scan for Hardware Changes. You should have your drivers disk ready. The device will likely install, but be unable to find drivers. Point XP to your drivers disk and it should install the drivers for you.

BTW, if you don't have a drivers disk, check your system BIOS for the chipset and google for "<chipset number/name> Windows XP drivers". You should be able to find the drivers and download them from the wired connection before trying the above instructions for reinstalling the wifi drivers.
