Question about iRiver T10 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Iriver t10 Hi, I've had my iriver t10 for over a year and it works fine, except I can't load anymore songs onto it. I have tried re-formatting and putting the songs back on but it only lets me use about half of the memory space. I can delete some of the songs I have on the iriver and put different songs on but I can't add anymore once the memory is half full. Please help. Thanks.

Re: iriver t10

I would recommend that you use the device to format it...inside the device under setting there should be a format option..use that option and see what happen

Tansferring Songs

Your problem sounds different from the one I had, but you might try the solution that worked for my problem: Go to a computer that has Windows Media Player Version 10 (not version 11), use iRiver's firmware update tool to install firmware version 1.77. Then, for me at least, my T10 worked on Windows Media Player Version 11 computers.

The Windows Media Player Sync function is worthless. It takes forever and offers no real benefit except to people who cannot organize their MP3s themself. And if it doesn't fully sync before you disconnect your iRiver, the software crashes and you have to reset the player (this erases all your files).

Somehow the driver went missing. Click on "My Computer" and then click "view system information," then "hardware," then "device manager," then click on iRiver (it'll be there even without the driver) and then it will give you a yes/no option to look for driver software. Obviously, click "yes" but notice that you are also cued to put in a CD "if you have one." I still had the CD. It will search both the CD and online for a driver, but the computer found the driver software on the CD. Make sure you only put the CD in when cued to do so. If you don't have the CD, then contact iRiver about getting a driver download or having them send you a copy of the CD.

Iriver T10 will not allow me to add songs

The updater that I could find directly via iRiver support did not work, but based on one of the other tips, I googled for the Version updater ([MTP] iriver Firmware Updater for MTP devices).

I recommend that you try the "normal" updater from the website (maybe yours is not an MTP version), and if that can't recognize your player, try the updater from the link above.

Note: The updater seemed to hang at 50% for over 5 minutes... I gave up and unplugged it. Then it asked me if I wanted to upgrade the firmware. "OK," I said. It took a few minutes. The screen went blank. I put in a fresh battery. Turned it on. It works. I was able to use Media player 11 to synch some songs to it.

BTW: It did blow away all the songs on the device, even though I chose "update" instead of "recover".

My iriver T10 is not being detected

That happend to me and i found a solution. First go to my computer and on your left click on VIEW SYSTEM INFORMATION then go to HARDWARE now click in DEVICE MANAGER it should say T10 around there look for T10 or IRIVER T10 and click on it press in UPDATE THIS TIME ONLY or an option you like and click next then click on the RECOMENDED OPTION to install the iriver t10 after you do that a magnifying glass should appear and wait and it would install saying MTP.
If still need help send me a message at NOHEMYGIRALDO@SBCGLOBAL.NET

Try to re-format it. on player go to settings, then advanced then format. select format, say yes and it should reboot. if that doesn't work you need to upgrade the firmware. got to, support, ultra portabale support and download firmware updater software. Not a bad idea to upgrade firmware in either case. Your music will be lost when you format but you can simply re-load it from your music manager on your PC.
