Digital music player nw-e013f sony, no audio songs play,

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Sony NW-E405 MP3 Player

Try formatting the device again using its built-in formatting features.

(WARNING: There is no way you can retrieve your data. Since it has already been formatted, it's assumed that you have backup.)

In your Sony NW-E405 MP3 Player:
1. Press and hold the SEARCH/ MENU button
2. Go to ADVANCED MENU (press the Play/ Stop button)
3. Select FORMAT (press Play/ Stop button)
4. From the opt "Format OK?" select OK (press the Play/ Stop button)
5. Once finished, you can Cancel out.

After these steps, your device should screen out "No Data." From there, you can re-transfer your files.

File error

What's the music format of the songs that you placed on your mp3 player? Some MP3 Players only capable of playing song files with .mp3 extension and are incapable of playing other music format like wav, wma, etc. Check also the contents of the player for corrupted files and foreign files. Some viruses from a computer could affect the performance of your mp3 player.

Snoy NW-E105

Hey.
Well first, some of the songs that you put in, well...Sony Co. cannot transfer directly, so you would have to use their Sonicstage program, aka the converting button.
Like most Sony mp3 players, you need to use Sonicstage to put songs in the mp3 player.

For the Sony NW-E405, simply go to the Transfer menu at the top right of the program, (along where the My Library button is) and select the song. In the middle of the screen should be arrows along with a suitcase looking button. Click the luggage button and a screen should pop out. It should have two choices, a Standard Transfer Mode and a Specified bit rate transfer mode. Click the Specified one and select either the 105kbps (ATRAC 3) or the 132kbps (ATRAC 3) for great sound quality and small memory usage. The others are too big or too bad for sound quality. It should now work.

Now the mp3 player should be able to read it, since it is now in ATRAC 3 version, not the mp3 version.

Hopefully this solution helped.
Have a nice day!

File Error message

Sounds as if the players system is corrupt, you will either need to find factory reset or use the software that came with it to format the player.
