It should be compatible. I have never been satisfied with ATI products though, and so I do not recommend them. Personally I would get a PNY graphics card with an Nvidia chipset, that fits your AGP slot. Here is a link to a good option.

It appears that the mobo is AGP 8x, and this video card also appears to be AGP 8x - so you should be able to use it just fine.

I have not been able to add any AGP card to my PC.
My PC is a cube PC so I have been trying to install a "low end" AGP video card without a separate power connector. My only really requires are DirectX 9.x support and a minimum of 128MB (and no power connector)

The card I am currently trying to install is a Gigabyte ATI Radeon 9600Pro with 256MB.

I have also tried a ATI Radeon 9550 with 256MB and a Nvidia card

I have done all of the usual things, such as disabling onboard graphics, removing old video drivers, verified latest chipset drivers are installed, I reviewed the graphic adapter and don't see any conflicts etc.

I wonder if any of the cards I am trying to install will work with my AGP slot.
The manual for this Gigabyte card states "AGP 3.0 Slot or greater is required"
Unfortunately, this requirement wasn't on the Gigabyte or NewEgg web sites or the back of the box. Only in the install manual.

My Motherboard manual states "AGP 1.5v Card is required".

I got great AGP information from www.playtool.com. I used some of the tools suggested there such as Sandra Lite and other tools to try to determine what version my AGP Slot is. These tools don't seem to clearly state what

My PC is a Small Form Factor PC with 220W Power Supply.
It has integrated Intel Extreme Graphics
gBox P4 Blue CF-986L
Motherboard is a CFI-968L with last bios released (1.04)
www.american-media.com
Pentium 4 3.06Ghz
1G RAM
80G HD
Chipset is Intel 845GE
Intel Extreme Graphics
Windows XP Home

This is a awesome PC and I really would like to extend the life of it my adding any AGP card that supports DirectX 9.x

I want to get a new graphic card this is my current one which graphic card would work for my desktop

Hello

OK, this question is actually dependent on a couple of factors. Let me explain:

How much are you willing to pay for an upgraded card?

Since the card is a PCI express card, you will be able to buy a compatible PCI express card as an upgrade.

Also, do you want to stick with ATI, or are you open to Nvidia as well?

Let me know, i will gladly assist.

Kind regards

Intel P$ 1.8 mhz on a D845HV/D845WN board

Before removing your current card swap video outputs on the PC. If currently connected to the VGA output switch to the HDMI connector AT the video card. Use the HDMI to VGA adapter that came with the video card. Check & see if the display loads Pc starts. Taking the information directly from your motherboard manual pg. 25, your AGP video can only run at, AGP supporting 1.5 V 4X AGP cards. The 9600pro runs at 8x & it is not backwards compatible. (able to run at either 8x or 4x). You could run the Sappire ATI Radeon 256MB 9550 DDR AGP 4x/8x 1.5volt card.
Here is one site: http://www.colordrives.com/sapphire-ati-radeon-9550-256mb-ddr-agp-4x-8x-video-card---retail-box.html
When you do get the video card be sure to set your bios AGP to the correct size as listed in your manual pg. 109 subsection 4.4.7
I hope this helped.

Much depends on what you want to spend and what you do with your Mac.

Here are some offerings for Macs:

Ati radeon 9600 video card

what you have the ATI card hooked up can you see the boot screen? If you can see that you might want to try going into safe mode and making sure your graphics settings aren't set beyond the capability of your monitor. If you can't see the boot screen then your card might be dead.
