Question about HP Compaq nc6320 Notebook
I just bought this HP Pavilion zd8000 and the guy who sold it to me told me the Power-On Password but now I forgot it.
Is the only solution to this replacing the system board or is there another solution?
Thanks in advance,
Remove rtc battery for a few mins then replace this will reset bios to factory default and wipe any (all) passwords.
there is a program called spotmau powersuite which can do this via bootable disk.
rtc battery looks like a large watch battery located on motherboard usually underneath keyboard.but on some models in ram compartment.

Is the bios protected by the same password, usually it isnt. If you can get on the bios you can disable that HDD password. Other than that I dont know much about HP's and their set ups, sorry.
