Re: changing the sm card in my side kick 1 How?

How to Remove Your SIM
1 Turn off your device by pressing the power on/off key.
2 Your SIM card fits into a slot on the left side of your device behind the end cap. Remove the end cap using
the finger notch:
3 You will see the SIM card in its slot; press the end of the SIM in toward the device and release. The SIM
should spring gently out of its slot.
4 Remove the SIM carefully.

5 Replace the end cap by pressing the prongs in slightly and inserting the cap. Make sure the cap is flush with
the case.

How to Insert Your SIM

1 Remove the end cap covering the SIM slot using the finger notch.
2 Press the SIM card into its slot with the gold contacts facing down and the cut corner going in first, beneath
the Menu button.
When you release the SIM make sure it is locked into position and it doesn’t spring out.
3 Replace the end cap by pressing the prongs in slightly and inserting the cap. Make sure the cap is flush with
the case.

My blacberry 8520 reflects a red sos on the screen. I have changed my sim card, try a soft and hard reset, turned wi fi and bluetooth connection off but still, the problem persist

Make sure the metal bracket that holds the sim card in is secure and check it for damage. Since you've already changed out the card and have tried resetting the phone, check the sim card contacts on the phone. If they are wearing out, that could cause the problem you are having.

How to insert sim card in iphone 3g

Turn off your iPhone 3G and make sure any cords or connector cables are removed from the device. Then, hold your iPhone 3G upright.
  • Locate the Sleep/Wake button and headphone jack on the very top of the iPhone. Between these two components you will see a very small hole.
  • Insert the tip of a paper clip into the hole to release the iPhone's SIM card tray. The small tray will pop up relatively quickly from the top of the iPhone. If there is already a SIM card in the tray, use your fingers to remove it.
  • Insert the SIM card you want to install into the phone facedown in the tray. Make sure the side without the reflecting panel is inserted first.
  • Press the SIM card tray gently back into the slot until you hear it "click" into place. Now turn your iPhone on. All of the information on the card will now be in your iPhone 3G.

My blackberry pearl 8100 need a sim subsidy unlock in order for me to used with my carrier how can i get it

    1) Contact your service provider to obtain instructions and the SIM unlock code for your device.
    2) Download one of the following files:-
    a) sim ulock tool serial
    b) sim unlock tool usb
    3) Extract the file and save it to your personal computer.
    4) Connect the device to the personal computer.
    5) Double-click the downloaded file. If prompted, enter your device password.
The unlock tool runs, and the device resets when complete.
    6) Proceed with the SIM unlock instructions from your service provider.

NOTE:-This happen's when you're trying to change the service provider.
If you intend to change your service provider, contact your current provider and inquire whether your BlackBerry device's SIM card is locked. If your BlackBerry device has a locked SIM card, you will need an unlock code. Some carriers charge a fee for this. Once the BlackBerry device is unlocked, it will accept a new SIM card and a new service provider.

    Phone code

The phone code locks your t830 to the inserted SIM card, if you change the SIM the unit asks for this code. If you don't know the code (ebay?) there are three possibilities:
    1. ask the formerly owner for the key
    2. insert the "old" SIM-Card and delete the key in the phone-settings-menu by pressing "forgot code" and entering only the SIM-Card-Code
    3. send your device to FSC with your bill (ebay?)

The SIM card slot on a Sidekick II is located on the top left corner of the device, under the rubber "bumper". The support section of T-Mobile's website has a diagram showing how to insert the SIM in a Sidekick 2.
