Re: error drive c

Hi abrb1220,

connect the hard disk to another pc, if the same error appears, means that the HDD is "dead", doesn't worth any effort because it's time is over.

Newer monitor won't work with packard Bell R450

Wow, it's about time to dump the Packard Bell. Maybe the Video Card has gone bad in the Packard Bell and if you fix it your old monitor might work.

Imedia system32 error

okay this is a confusing post/question. you can always start a machine from bio regardless of what operating system you're running. if you're attempting to boot from the disc, tap f12 @ boot until you get a one time boot menu and choose the dvd/cd drive. that should load the setup file. the windows disc does not load setup onto the hard drive. if you're running xp when you have the option hit 'r' to repair the computer, when you get into command prompt type sfc /scannow. this will search and fix all system files. you can also try chkdsk c: /r this will fix any errors in the file structure. good luck

I have a Packard Bell Imedia desktop not sure of the model. It was working fine until recently, I switched on my pc and after the boot screen "NTLDR is missing Alt Ctrl Del" message appeared....

Remove the hard disk and attach it to an USB hard drive adapter and then connect it into the USB port of a working computer. This computer will detect the hard drive as an external storage device, then you can open the various folders and files to copy your files to this computer or burn your data to a CD/DVD disc or USB flash drive.
Return you hard disk back to your Packard Bell so you can reinstall Windows.

Packard bell pentium3 windows me

F1 is probably the key to enter the Bios setup utility. Press and hold the F1 key immediately after you start the machine. Go to the boot priority section, and set your CD-Rom as first boot device. Press f10 to save the settings and reboot with your recovery disk installed

Just bought a packard bell tower an before i can get onto any screen a message pops up saying windows could not install propally or an error accured press OK to restart and windows will continue to install...

I'm assuming you bought this used. It sounds like the computer either didn't have the operating installed properly, the hard drive used to be in another computer and just dropped into this computer without re-installing the operating system.... or most likely that it has a virus.

Your best option in any of these cases is to do a clean install of your operating system. If you were not given a recovery disc you will unfortunately need to purchase Windows.

How can i remove the hard drive from my packard bell club 79 computer?I have some pics on there i would like to put on my new pc but the old packard bell no longer connects to the net and as it had win98...

If you have a router with two thernet ports you can connect them together using this.
Otherwise you can take the hard drive out and connect it to your new computer but this can be tricky to do.
The other thing you could do is buy a USB hard disk caddy. Fit you hard drive into this and then connect it to the USB port of your new computer. Make sure the caddy will take your size and type of hard disk.
