Hello chevi1981..what can happen is if whoever installed your system did not run your speaker wires properly eg if they have worn through and touching metal or a screw through the wires ,it can blow the audio ics in unit resulting in no sound.all these high powered units have above ground circuits in the audio stage .to check ,hook up a separate speaker direct to your unit, separate wiring ,if no sound, will most likely be the intergrated circuits..these will have to be changed by a tech as cd players are a beast to work on,also your 2 speaker wires should not touch one another.with your sec code if your have a removable face you may not have a code ,as removing face is your security .hope this helps

How do i install my alpine cd changer to a kenwood mp528 unit

It is unclear which Alpine CD changer you have and what output connections are available from it.

However your Kenwood unit has Aux input terminals at the back. With appropriate cable connectors you should be able to hook the two up. In the Kenwood you will have to select AUX in menu when playing CD changer. Download user manual for Kenwood from this site.

Got used car 1996 and it has a 10 cd changer in it . Was installed at time of purchase of new car. Have noidea how to use it. Don't know if it works, or not. No light goes on, no buzzing, Someone told...

These changers are capable of outputting to several bandwidths (like 93.5, 103.5, etc.). Does it have a wired remote mounted somewhere on the dash? If it does, it's likely the type that uses FM modulation. If that's the case, put disks in the cartridge, insert the cartridge, and hit play on the remote.

If it doesn't have the remote, it runs directly off the stereo in the dash, in which case you change inputs by pushing the Input or CD button on the stereo in the dash, then control it from there.

Let me know which it is, and I'll try to help you further. Also, a brand and model number would help in finding an online owner's manual for you to peruse.

Cd changer

You can use any CD changer that has an FM modulater. You would listen to it by tuning in to a station on your tuner.

The sales person at any place that sells car stereos would be able to show you the right type of changer.

If your radio has a cd changer controller built into it, you need to check with the dealership to find out what the OEM changer would be. But a FM modulator will work with any car stereo.

Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC, Clarion, Alpine all sell FM modulator CD changers. I would not personally buy any of the cheaper no name brands. The money you save on the cost is not worth the difference in quality. Panasonic is a very good brand for car stereos but not home stereos, but I don't know if they make CD changers. if they do, that would be a good brand.

For your Jetta, you may need a different wiring harness.

You need to be able to trace the wiring from the two dins on the back of the Kenwood receiver, and une the wiring diagram for the 1996 Jetta.

Perform your cross reference here for the receiver wiring:

Here's the wiring for your Jetta:

From the jetta wiring, it looks like your Right Front speaker isn't connected.

Here's the wiring for your Delta 88:

Happy hunting!

make sure none of the speaker+/- wires are contacting each other. if even one of them does, most likely all the sound will cut out to protect the internal amplifier. Other than that, the blue/white remote wire is most likely your problem, if the car has some sort of factory amp thats the wire that tells it to turn on and let sound through. its possible that the outputs of the deck are bad, try checking it with a test speaker or in another car

No Sound - boat stereo

Assuming that the four speakers are connected to the amplifier, then the amp is the most likely problem component. Does the amplifier show a power light when the system is turned on? Note that there is probably another fuse in the amplifier power wire, near the battery.
