Question about Mitsubishi WD-52631 52" Projection HDTV
Okay so yeah, i had replaced the bulb too, and that did fix everything for about two months, but alas this darn thing burnt through that bulb too. so now we've had some repair guys come out and said that their gonna replace the ballast(sp?). The guy told me he's had to do it a few times for this model tv and that he hasnt had to come back to fix one yet so i got my fingers crossed that it'll finally work.Luckily it was all covered under my warranty. I'm not sure what replacing this actual part entails, how much it costs or even if its something you can do on your own. The worst part is my wife and i really like this tv so it stinks we've been haveing sooo many problems. I've already had one thing replaced b/c of the fan and burnt through three bulbs in less then two years. Good Luck everybody

I had the same problem with mine as far as coming on then shutting back off and blinking. Troubleshooting states to replace light cartridge. I just replaced the bulb itself and saved about $150. Now I am having other issues but that fixed that problem.

Severl things could be wrong, first is the lamp attpting to start, this you can usaly hear it will sound like little sparks and happen tree times before the set shuts down. If thats the case change the Lamp, second the five volt line could be dead, this is cause by defective capacitors in the power supply and this prvents the DMD board from comming up, with this problem you will not here the lamp trying to fire. Third it may have detected some other fault and shuts the set down, These sets by the way the status light in front blink can direct you to the problem, so unplug for 10 min. then try to turn it on Write down what the L.E.D's do and repost here
