Computer fan turns on every 2 minutes and runs for 30 sec.

Does your computer seem to be running hot? If not maybe that's all the fan needs to run to do its job. The only thing you could try is to replace the fan.

Computer won't turn on after trying to plug in

You never plug anything into the expansion slot whilr the computer is turned on and running. This is a sure way of damaging the motherboard.
Turn off the computer and remove the wireless adapter and then boot up your computer, if it still does not boot up then the motherboard most likely been damaged.
I suggest you take it to a computer repair shop to assess the damage and give you a repair quote.

I have no internet to my main computer i rerouted the cable from the router to my lap top then I have enternet but not on my main computer

First, make sure you have the internet cables on your main computer pressed in tightly (to computer and router).

Then carefully follow...
1) Unplug power cord or turn off the "cable modem" (first box that comes into your house provided by the cable company).

2) turn off your router (or unplug).

3) turn off your main computer

4) turn on (or plug in the power cord) for "cable modem" and allow it to run its startup route (1 minute minimum)

5) turn on (or plug in the power cord) for router and allow it to run its start up routine (1 minute minimum)

6) turn on your computer and let it start up and check if internet works.

good luck and rate me please.

My laptop won't boot up. When I turn it on the Dell start- flashes then the screen turns black with a blinking cursor on the upper right hand corner.

It sounds to be a hardware issue.. You have to first run a Hardware diagnostics to see if its hardware issue or a software issue.. To Run the hardware turn off the computer.. Keep pressing the F12 key when the computer turns on.. Then select the option diagnostics... If you find any erros on this then you have to replace the hardware parts..

If the test passes then the issue is with the software - reinstall the OS

Dell has a default partition on the computer and you can install with the same..
If you have windows vista on the computer then tap F8 when the computer turns on and then you will be able to see the advanced boot options.. Select repair my computer.. In the repair my computer screen select the dell factory image restore...
Your computer will go through the installation and it will be up and running...
If you have windows Xp then you have to turn on the computer and when the dell logo appears you have to simultaneously press control and the F11key.. You will be able to reinstall the OS in this way..

My gateway MA1 laptop running win xp has cooling problems

Contact GATEWAY, and get them to fix your laptop.
The fan is designed to run at "full-speed" when you first turn it on, and then there are temperature sensors that slow the fan down, to minimize noise, while the computer is "cool" enough that the fan does not need to run. The sensor is malfunctioning, and is not turning-on (or turning-up) the fan when the computer gets "warm".

My computer is freezing up, won't do nothing

Freezing often occurs when your computer is receiving several commands at the same time.

First check your Startup Menu and turn off (uncheck) any programs that don't need to run upon starting up (Go to Start, Run, type in MSCONFIG, select "Start Up" tab and uncheck those needless programs). You can always turn programs on manually when needed (such as media players, games, Instant Messaging, etc.)

Second, check the Options or Preferences in your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs and make certain you don't have a constant scan occuring that will slow down your applications.

Third, turn off any programs or applications that might be running but that you're not using. The fewer programs you have running at one time, the less your computer has to process.

Fourth, when your computer freezes, click on your Control/Alternate/Delete keys at the same time and only once. A window will open called a Windows Task Manager. Select the "Applications" tab if it's not already selected, and highlight any programs which are "Not Running." Then click on "End Task" for those programs only. This way you don't have to restart your computer.

Fifth, notice those programs that seem to cause your computer to freeze and either remove them, replace them or reinstall them.

Computer running on 100% capacity

100% sounds like something bad is running like adware, spyware or a virus possibly.

I would suggest going to Start>Run and type in msconfig. Then go to the startups, and you can uncheck the things you don't need. Things like adobe reader, adobe updates, and such can be turned off.

Second, download and run the following programs, ccleaner, Malware Bytes anti malware, and Super Anti Spyware.

Run the ccleaner and delete all your temp junk, then run scans on both the other programs. You might need to turn off your anti virus program to do this.
