Question about Maytag Neptune Washer
My Maytag Neptune MAH3000AWW washes, rinses and spins fine, but when it reaches the end of its cycle, it won't shut off. It just sort of rotates every minute or so. This will go on indefinitely. If I manually shut it off, the door unlocks after about five minutes, but I would really like to be able to wash a load an not need to be there when it finishes ... or come back in five minutes to dry the load. I can't imagine that it's good for it to stay on like this.
What might be wrong?
Thanks so much,
Sound like there is a fault in the control panel. Check the manufacturers website and see if there is a recall on this model. If, not, then take the panel off, and check the selector switch which controls the cycles. See if there is a catch that is not engaging, or not making contact. If this is a digital, board, then you might have to replace the whole entire control panel. Check the instruction booklet on how to order this part. Install should be very easy, just remove a few screws, and swap the parts out.
