Question about Sony Ericsson W850i Cellular Phone
On the top of screen I have a red phone handset icon with a red line going
through it, I can't receive or make calls or txts. If I change SIm-cards the icon disappears but the problem remains. I've been told this means the IMEI Number has been blocked. Is there any software that wi;ll allow me to change the IMEI or another way to unblock it.
PLEASE DON'T SUGGEST A FIRMWARE FLASH I'VE DONE IT AND IT'S BEEN UPDATED USING THE SONYERICSSON UPDATE SERVICE AND IT'S HAD THE FILE SYSTEM UPDATED TO THE LATEST VERSION
If the phone was lost or stolen the rightful owner has had it blocked using the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity)
The only way around this is through a mobile repair shop.
