Connecting tevion DVD player to palsonic tv for first time in ages. The picture works, but the sound is only very faint, even if I turn up the sound to the maximum on both devices. How can I fix the s

Those cables are RCA jacks. You need to connect all white yellow. You dont need 5 like in the video. So on DVD Player connect red to red ...yellow to yellow.....white to white. Connect to audio/video out. Then on TV connect audio/video in or input same way red to red ...and so on.

Sounds like the tv is not on the correct input or something. It's hard to say w/ out seeing it. You may need to get someone to check it out for you.

I dont get the sound, can see pictures.

hey sajith,

check all the audio and video cable's connected to tv and dvd player.
you may have forgot the wire color's (audio and video) there would be one wire for video and two for audio. some times there would be a RF socket also. so, see the right sockets and connect to tv by interchanging wires.

Can only record sound not picture?

Make sure the Yellow RCA Cable is plugged into the Yellow port on the DVD recorder. People often try to plug these in without good lighting & will plug the White audio into the Yellow video ports. Also, check to make sure they are in the correct color ports at the TV as well.

Yellow = Video
White = Audio
Red = Audio

Another way to test the cable is to bring a smaller TV in next to the main TV. Use your RCA cables coming from the OUTPUT of your main TV that you want to record from & connect the other end of the cables to the INPUT of the smaller TV just to see if the cable is passing video. The cable could just be bad & you need to buy a new cable. Hope this helps.

My sony triniton kv-32ls35u tv is connected to a sony dvd recorder/sky box when i switch it on with the remote, tv then sky using sky control i am not getting the picture through sky only when its in tv...

It sounds to me like you have a problem with the sony tv. In many cases I have ran into a problem like this. If the tv blinks a certain number of times it is a defect code intended to direct the service person to the problem. I am almost posative that five blinks usually means that there is a problem in the screen circuit or picture tube. If you noticed any discoloration on the screen it means the tube has weakened, but don't lose hope. Sometimes when this problem occurs you can save the set by having your local repair center rejuvinate the picture tube. Using a piece of equiptment designed to burn debris from the filaments, a picture tube restorer/rejuvinator is your best bet in this case. One more side note, you can usually temporairily solve this problem that you are having by slightly adjusting the master screen control located on the flyback transformer, (which is the large, dark colored object with the big red wire coming from it and feeding high voltage to the tube). Hope this information is helpful to you and feel free to contact me if I can further assist you, Russmann.

How do i connect my GPX dvd player to my hd tv? I have Direct TV also.

I also have a GPS DVD Player and Direct TV. On the back of the TV there are slots for AV1 and AV2, I chose AV1. The yellow cable is your video.When placing the YELLOW in the video I noticed the pic was Black and White. After changing it to the slot marked Video Y the color came back. The white and red are audio. I put the WHITE in Audio L and the RED next to it in Audio Pr. Granted I am using a Phillips TV but the concept is the same. Hope this helps. If you don't have sound, switch the position of the Audio (red and white) cables.

Hdmi not working

You need to set up the out put of your DVD player. First hook up a non hdmi output to the tv, either component or coax. You don't need to hook up the audio. You should get a picture from this connection. Then you can go into the menu and set your hdmi output to match your tv, probably 1080i. You may have to turn your volume up higher when using the hdmi cable than not. I hooked my audio up directly to a surround sound and don't use the tv's speakers.
