6 flashes my heater is flashing 6 times which says open role out or open fuse any suggestions The condensation drain froze and backed up into the unit. I have drained everything but the unit will not restart. When I start it the blower comes on (and stays on) the motor in the burner campartment comes on for about 10 seconds and then shutsdown. I see the 6 flash code from the LED in the blower compartment.

It is open role out or open fuse

Follow the wiring diagram and find all safety switches. Test them to see which one is open. Reset it or replace it and find out why it opened. Something caused it to open.

Richmond tankless water heater My system keeps flashing 29 and is beeping

A 29 error code indicates a neutralizer drainage failure. The neutralizer is designed to drain condensate away from the heater. If the neutralizer and/or drain becomes blocked up, the unit will flash the 29 error code to prevent the burner from being flooded.

No Heat

3 flashes indicate an issue with either the inducer, pressure switch, plugged condensate drain or a venting restriction.

Clear all debris from the exhaust and intake air piping. Make sure they are not drooping anywhere.
Check the pressure switch and the rubber hoses for blockage.
Blow out the drain line that evacuates the condensation.
On the inducer motor housing, un- plug the rubber hose going to the pressure switch and check to see if there is suction when the motor is running.
Make sure your air filter is clean.
Listen to the inducer motor as it turns for gurgling or any other abnormal sounds.

To make the heater run while you have the cabinet open, tape down the door safety switch. Remove the tape after diagnosos.

York, diamond 90 heating issues! Ruscopeland suggested to check out problem by noting fault code on the system... after it turned off it kept flashing 6 times. what does this mean? any answers?

Look at the electrical schematic on the inside cover to the electrical compartment. It should have a list of fault codes. Locate the condesate drain lines (up to three) and remove them and inspect them for debris/blockage. Clean them and flush them with warm water and clorox solution. Make sure that your condensate line is not blocked and that you are getting drainage from the condensate line. The new high efficiency furnaces generate a great deal of condensate water from the burner and it needs to drain properly.

I have a Cyclone XHE model BTH 120-250(A) series 970 and 973 flashing fault code 11. what is major reason?

Code 11-Pressure switch fails to open or close after five minutes.

This unit will produce condensation--quite heavily at times. The outlet drain hose must be allowed
to drain. Exhaust Vent piping must also drain condensate. Code 11 error would imply that these
must be checked.

90% of the time this problem is related to installation issues with either the vent or drain.

Red Light Flashing 6 times

A 6 blink usually indicates a bad thermal fuse caused by the lamp temperature getting too hot. I strongly suggest replacing the sirrocco fan that mounts on top of the optical block too. Usually this fan gets clogged up with dust so the lamp temperature gets hotter than it should causing the thermal fuse to open up. Replacing the thermal fuse, sirrocco fan and cleaning the dust from the inside and fans will cure this. A Sony authorized servicer should be able to repair this for you. Good Luck
