That is because your provider wants you to buy the ringtones from them. Your device need to be debranded. Find an independant cellphone shop and have them debrand your phone. Its jus a flash. This one is having a very simple solution. All you have to do is Go into your file manager and Go to your songs, Highlight the song you want to use, then click more. Could you tell me if there are any songs in your cell phone.If there are songs in it,you can set it.Find the songs you want to set as ringtones,then choose the option"transmit",and find the option"To the user profile".Just doing these,the setting is finished.
But if there aren't any songs in your cell phone,you may need download some.Then you can set it as the above.

Get a Sony USB cable for ur phone.
Attach ur phone to computer with the help of USB data cable and set it to File Transfer Mode.
Now u get a extra drive into ur My Computer.
Open it and paste MP3 songs in Audio folder
Using your songs as the ringtone totally depends on your mobile if there is an option you can but first thing you have to make sure that you mobile must support mp3,wma,acc etc as ringtone because the phone those dosen't support song as ringtone are mostly support midi,rff, etc ringtone
