Sounds like you need to replace the spin tube if your motor coupling is all right and nothing is jamming your pump

Check your door switch first if thats okay you probably have a clutch problem. If you give it a spin in spin mode will it try to spin? If not then you should check your clutch assm. if defective the clutch assm. costs about $30.00. You will have to pull your agitator and spanner assm. You don't have to pull the basket. Then tip the washer back and remove the pump and motor clips then the three transmission bolts. Then the whole transmission assm. comes out the bottom. You will then see the clutch assm mounted right below the basket drive and brake assm. right on top of the transmission itself. Replace it and you are on your way.

Oh one more thing, When you get the motor off check the motor coupler it is mounted partly to the transmission and partly to the motor with a rubber boot in between. There should be 3 pegs sticking out from each round coupler if not replace it it could also be giving you the problem. The part # is:AP3963893 and costs about $12.00. The part number on the clucth assm. is:AP3094537 and about $30.00. If for some unusual meeting you need the transmission the part # is: AP3096209 and the cost is about $144.00. Be sure and remove the cabinet first. In order to do so you need to remove the two screws on the control panel found at each end in front. After that gently move the console forward and up and it will hinge and lay back. next remove the two clips you will see at each end on top under where the console was close to the area you took the screws out. Stick a screwdriver down in the front of the hole and pry back with the handle while popping the clip forward. After they are out there may be a small plug you need to pull then you tilt the cabinet forward and up. then set it aside. Then you are ready to go.

Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back again? Try it without clothes inside, does it spin? Check the lid switch for continuity. Then probably its the motor coupler check if its connected directly to the motor first, you can replace it if you should its worth about $40++. Next check the clutch and transmission, those are the parts where you should go and check. But if its a transmission problem it might cost you around 200 bucks or more so better to buy a new one instead.

Whirlpool type 111 washer drains won't spin. makes loud screeching noise. installed new clutch assembly. still no spin.still high pitched noise (like a belt slipping) but type 111 is direct drive

Belt slipping? is the wash tub free to turn when empty? socks and small clothing items may be jammed in the drum / tub cavity caused by overloading if its stuck. May need to strip machine and remove drum to get them out.
Don't overload machines!

The electronic timer is worn and requires replacement, this would be a bulky metallic box located just behind the large setting knob.

My whirlpool model/LSR8233JQ1 will not agitate or spin ut does everything else. already bypassed lid switch years ago because it broke, its still connected.

1. you possibly have a malfuncitoning timer
the timer is the control to the motor and the pump on a washer and each click represents function to the components on the washer such as the spin cycle ( the motor engages to spin the drum to extract the water to the pump at a given time on the timer.
Your machine need a service tech to determine this issue.
I hope this helps.

I have a whirpool model:lsq9200lq3, and recently it has stopped working. when ever you turn it on, its fine and the water fills up normally and right before it gets to the spinning cycle the machine makes a grinding noise like if something is stopping the motor from spinning, and it dosent spin inside the washer. if anybody has any suggestion It would be great thank you.

Washer stopped at the drain cycle Model LSR8233JQ1

Could be either a bad lid switch or a bad water valve.
Set the timer dial to SPIN and turn the machine on.
If it spins the lid switch is OK. If it does not spin the lid switch must be replaced.
Next, set the timer dial on a wash cycle and set the water temperature knob to COLD water. If it fills, the lid switch is bad. If it does not fill the water valve is bad or the cold screen filter is clogged.
If the COLD does not fill, turn off the cold water faucet. Remove the cold water hose from the machine water valve and check for a clooged screen.
If it does not fill with COLD water and the screen is clear, replace the water valve.

22432 won't spin or drain

CHECK THE LID SWITCH THE PART THAT PUSHES THE SWITCH DOWN MAY BE WORN ENOUGH TO CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. WITH THE LID OPEN START THE WASHER IN THE SPIN CYCLE AND PUSH THE SWITCH WITH A POPSICKEL STICK AND SEE IF THIS PROBLEM STILL HAPPENS

Type 111 filled with water and stopped

with the machine off, turn the cycle dial around 3x very harshly, then try it again. If it works normally now, you'll need a new cycle switch soon!
