Cord for hooking camera to computer

I lost my cord for hooking my camera to the computer and need a replacement. When I use the memory card cord hookup, my computer says I don't have the camera installed. I left the correct cord in another state and it was thrown away. Can you help me?

-   i basically lost the cord hooking my camera up with my computer. I was wondering if I could just go back to the mall where I bought it and buy another one for my brand??? I really don't know, and I'm a bit pissed off at my irresponsibleness haha-   Guest
