Janice, This is info from
1- Turn off computer, disconnect the power cord, remove the battery.
2- Press the Power On button for 10 seconds
3- Replace battery and/or connect power cord.
4- Turn On computer + immediately press F2 key repeatedly
5- Press F9 then press Enter
6- Press F10 then press Enter
May have virus or corrupt driver, run your anti virus and try reloading divers for mouse and touch pad, you may have to use system restore to an earlier date when thins were working OK.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

My touch pad works with a mouse, but when I tap my touch pad nothing happen's,thats when I lef click my mouse,it will move the icon, but wont tap on toanything

This has happened to me and it took me hours to figure it out. I hope yours is the same problem...
Make sure you dont have your touch pad set to off. On my ASUS It is F9 on my keyboard. the key shows an icon of the touch pad with a slash (/) through it. If you do not see this on your keyboard try looking in control panel and see if there is a setting in there. Good Luck. Please let me know if this worked.

My acer aspire one netbook lags and sometimes freezes when I play audio PLEASE HELP

As with any computer, after a while it's going to start to slow down because of programs and files being added and your computer will become memory hungry. Do you have alot of programs installed on to it or files installed on to your netbook? and are you multitasking when you are playing audio like using windows media to play it? If so, your netbook can't handle all the treads from the program because it's underpowered. The Acer netbook is underpowered to do multitasking. It is only meant for internet browsing and typing. It is not meant to be handle like a laptop. If I am correct your version comes with 1gb of ram only and you may need to upgrade your memory to 2gb which is the max allowance to help ease the lagging. However you can also try defragmenting your drive too, but as recommendation, you will have to upgrade you memory.

Display Driver Stopped working and has successfully recovered!

Your computers are running out of memory. Try to close any programs or processes that are not required. If you need to multitask while using video you can try to upgrade your ram. This is listed last but try this first. Search online for updated drivers and install them first.

Crashing, cpu??

probably not. sounds like a power maneagement problem and overheating. do the normal maintenance like cleaning the cooling vents and such. you can find lots of other stuff aound the web about overheating problems with computers. the only thing that i have not seen on them is about the softwate power maneagement .causing the overheating problem. if this is the problem you have to reset the bios by power cycling. the configuration for the power maneagement in the bios is maintained by the small battety that also maintains other things like the clock when there is no power being supplied to the computer. removing this batttery and of course the main battery (since it is a laptop) will reset the bios to original specs. of course the clock will reset

CPU problem??

Hi benladen Your cpu is not the problem it is you dump file that gets overloaded with all the cache memory
Rigth click on my computer select properties, Go to advance settings and select startup and recovery setting make the write debugging information to small memory dump this works for XP and Vista. Next go to performance then advance tab and to change set the page file initial to 2000 and max 4000 this will give you programs more space to work. Remmember to apply ans set all setting before exit
