How do I scan a document to my comp - I have absolutely no idea...
I have tried turning it on then pressing scan - doesn't work.
Tried pressing Scan when printer off - doesn't work.
Tried finding the printer program on my computer to see if theres a scanning option - can't find it.
Printer is working fine copying and printing, but I can't get it to scan. I press the button and the printer power light flashes on and off for a time, but nothing else happens. Tried turning the printer off and on, disconnecting it and reconnecting, and unplugging it from the power source.
i have a Vista system and an old hp 1315. the CD driver that came with it includes some very useful software that cannot be installed in my laptop. according to the hp website, that's because Vista comes with a compatible software for my hardware. checking Windows Help & Support gave me this solution:
Open to Windows Photo Gallery, click File then click Import from Camera or Scanner.
i did exactly that and it worked!

I do not know how to scan a document. I just need directions. I do not think that there is a problem with the HP PSC 1315 I just don't know how to scan.
