Remove the bolts that the hold two ends on . mark houseing, scratch one end with a x from end cap to houseing. then the other end with a stright line from end cap to motor houseing so it all stay the way it came apart. ok.remove the end that was the cord or get to it . cut wires long but not to long there is no room in the motor for it. you will need a good pair of crimping plires and rigth size crimps connectors. and some rubber tape or srink tube to cover repaired lines in motor. some motors have bolt /screw to connect to it. make a drawing of the wires on the motor before removing. after repairis made with volt /ohm meter, set to the lowset ohms setting. check each line to see if it connected right. make sure it looks like your drawing .line up ends with reference mark install bolts tight but not too tight. good luck

Hp laserjet 1020 meltdown

Hi,

Try this out:

Some printers require time to turn on. These printers may or may not give feedback in the form of blinking light(s). Wait up to a minute for the power light to come on before proceeding with the steps below. Instructions If the printer uses a power adapter (module), follow the instructions below. If the printer uses only a power cord, see the section below entitled “ If the printer uses only a power cord .” If the printer uses a power module Follow the steps below to ensure power is properly supplied to the printer:
  1. Check the power module part number against the part number listed in the User’s Guide to ensure the proper power adapter is being used.
  2. Disconnect the power cord or adapter from the wall outlet.
  3. Disconnect the printer data cable from the printer.
  4. Disconnect the power cord from the printer, wait thirty seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  5. Disconnect the power cord from the power module and reconnect the power cord to the power module. This may not be necessary if the power module has a permanently attached power cord.
  6. Reconnect the power cord directly into a working wall outlet. If the power cord was plugged into a surge protector or power strip, plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet instead. NOTE: "The HP Photosmart 8100, 8400, and HP Deskjet 6000 series printer power cords feature a green LED built into the power plug. If the LED is not glowing, the power module may have failed. Proceed to step 7 below.
  7. If the printer still will not turn on or the power LED built into the power cord is not glowing, plug the printer into a wall outlet in another room. If the printer or power LED turns on when connected to an electrical outlet in another room, there is a problem with the power in the original room.
  8. If there is still no power to the printer, then the power module, cord, or printer may be defective. Try the power module/cord on another HP Deskjet or Photosmart printer, of the same model if possible, to see if the power module is functioning. If the power LED is still not glowing, the power module may be defective. Replace the power module and cord.
  9. If the power module/cord works on the other printer, then this printer is defective. Service your printer.
  10. If you cannot determine whether the problem is the printer or the power module/cord, or if another printer is not available to test with, replace the power module/cord first. If this does not resolve the issue, service your printer.
If the printer uses only power cord Follow the steps below to ensure power is properly supplied to the printer:
  1. Check the power module part number against the part number listed in the User’s Guide to ensure the proper power adapter is being used.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Disconnect the printer data cable from the printer.
  4. Disconnect the power cord from the printer, wait thirty seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  5. Reconnect the power cord directly into a working wall outlet. If the power cord was plugged into a surge protector or power strip, plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet instead.
  6. If the printer still will not turn on, plug the printer into a wall outlet in another room. If the printer turn on when connected to an electrical outlet in another room, there is a problem with the power in the original room.
  7. If there is still no power to the printer, then the power cord or printer may be defective. Try the power cord on another HP Deskjet or Photosmart printer to see if the power cord is functioning.
  8. If the power cord does not work on the other printer, it is defective. Replace the power cord.
  9. If the power cord works on the other printer, then this printer is defective. Service your printer.
  10. If another printer is not available to test with, carefully inspect the power cord for damage.
  11. Inspect the power cord for visible damage. If the power cord is damaged, replace the power cord first. If this does not resolve the issue, or if the power cord looks fine, then service your printer.

Can i use a computer monitor power cord to replace the xbox 360 AC power cord

Only if you shave the power cord to fit in the same shape as the xbox plug-in. If you succeed then it will work. Keep calling local Gamestops or EB's stores for a used power cord for about 29.99-39.99 in used price.

Hp photosmart c4580 won't print

Your problem indicates that your printer is not getting the power supply .

  • Check the power cord for any physical damage. If the power cord is damaged, replace the power cord.

  • If the power cord is not damaged, plug the power cord into a different electrical outlet without using a surge protector. The product power light should turn on.

  • If the product power light does not turn on, the power cord should be replaced.

Replacing a fraayed and twisted power cord on a Hoover windtunnel upright

ok so I took this vaccum apart completely except for the electrical and motor systems. It seems to me that without dismantling both of these systems on the vaccum you can't replace the power cord. And I wouldn't recommend taking them apart unless you know what you are doing since replacing the power cord seems to require cutting the old power cord and soldering the new one onto the old terminals. All in all its probably easier to get a new vaccum altogether.
