My planar ws231 has red a red streak across the screen when a white box is displayed in the center of the screen. This is a problem only with video imput. icons on startup page are not affected. Has anyone else had this problem ?

Yeah, only mine was a blue line. this is usually caused by a faulty capacitor. The only simple way of fixing this, is to replace the monitor, or try a different, one and see if it still occurs. If it does, then try a different, Cable. if this still does not fix it, then you are looking at an internal problem with the video hardware.
