Hi I've this mainboard, but, owing to a wrong

Hi I've this mainboard, but, owing to a wrong action, a PCI card got off the slot, while the pc was on.
Now all is working, but PCI bus
is 'crazy: ' If I install a PCI card , System doesn't recognize it, or recognizes the card with another driver. I've reinstalled O.S. but with the same result-
What can I do? Have you a schematic of this mobo

Donald

Thankyou, but I've already resetted bios, besides I've also replaced bios chip with the one of another identical working mainboard, but without results.
I'm sure it's a hardware trouble and not depending on O.S.(My PC has dual boot: W7 and XP Pro 64bit). PCI bus is damaged, unfortunately.
Therefore I'm looking for a Service manual, in order to test the card. Smd fuse-resistors (near bus PCI) are OK
    Regards

Sounds like there was possibly a short and some components were damaged.
there is a jumper on the board that you can use to reset the mainboard firmware/cmos. check the manual. i would try that reset procedure and see if there is any improvement.
if that doesnt work it is highly unlikely the board can be repaired - components are way too dense and mainboards are generally considered disposable. depending on your OS it may be possible to force the proper configuration for the card, but even that may be unreliable considering the evidence of damage.

What video card is compatible for ba41-10006a pentium 4

Hello the mainboard might have the AGP slot, depending how old it is.

AGP and PCI-E slot are 2 different slot, you can`t use agp in pci-e and so on.

Here are a site that shows the difference:

http://networking.ringofsaturn.com/PC/slottypes.php

Visit also the mainboards homepage for more info.

Good luck

Can I install a GTX 9800 on an Acer Aspire m1641?

The model number of the mainbaord is usually printed on the mainboard itself. Look between the RAM dimms near the CPU socket.

If that mainboard is PCI-Express then it will be fine. It's PCI-Express if your card fit into the slot and locks into position. If the slot is too small for your card then you know that the board is some-thing else.

Just make sure the Power supply has at least a 6Pin Power connector for that graphics card.

The 6Pin connector plugs into the actual graphics card at the top. Be sure that the power supply is rated at 450Watt +.

Install the lastest drivers from the Nvidia website.

Take care!

Compatible video cards for mainboard D1534

i assume by normal you're referring to PCI, you can't install a pci card in an agp slot. i'm sure you probably have a free pci slot. install the card in the correct slot and then when the system loads go into bios and select the correct configuration for video.

Does my d845gvsr motherboard support a 9500GT graphics card?

9500GT Series graphics card uses PCI Express Slot(16X). As for your Mainboard D845GVSR it comes with AGP Slot(4x or 8x). The graphics card slot on your Mainboard AGP will not fit the PCI Express slot for this Nvidia chipset 9500GT Graphics Card. You cannot use the 9500GT Series card for your mainboard.

The highest Nvidia Graphics card that support AGP Slot is the 7300GT Chipset Series.

Hope it helps.

I want to install a graphic card that is better than the onboard one

Hello there, I am the Expert that will be helping you today, my name in damnor01.
Welcome to Fixya.

You need to start by identifying the slots that are present on your computer mainboard.

PCI is the white slot

PCI-Express is the faster than PCI. PCI-Express usually has a clip on the rear of the slot.

Use PCI-Express if you can.

Basically find the model number of your computer mainbard and then find the specs of your mainboard using google. Model number is printed on the board, between the PCI, AGP or PCI-Express slots or between the RAM slots.

Then purchase a card that is supported by your mainboard and install.

How could we know the right model to download the right audio driver in your PC

You need the model number of you computer mainboard, if you are using onboard audio and if you are using a sound card you would need the model number of that card. The model number of the mainboard can be found, either between the PCI, PCI-Express, AGP slots or near the RAM slots.
So it's the name of the manufacturer of your computer mainboard, eg: Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Abit, Foxcon etc... and the number that follows.

Then go to the manufacturers website and under the support heading, find your mainboard audio drivers.

I`ve just bought a graphics card and i am struggling to install it in the mother board

hi this sounds like you may have bought the wrong type of graphics card for your motherboard, depending on the age of your motherboard they have changed over from AGP to PCI-e or even ePCI-e now if you have a slot that looks just like a PCI expansion slot at the top on its own away from the other ones, this will indicate a PCI-e or ePCI-e slot, if you have a brown slot at the top of the other ones this will be a AGP slot, just in case you have the right card, for the right slot, there is a locking clip at the end of the AGP slot that you have to pull to one side to put it in check to see if this is the case, then just do that.........hope this helps

AUDIO CARD LYNXTWO-MAINBOARD DG31PR INTEL CONFLICT

Try installing the audio card in other PCI slots.
Also check to see if the PCI gold connectors are not damaged. Do you have another PC to check this audio card out? Perhaps there may be a misalignment on the PCI connectors. Check to see if the card lines up correctly in the PCI slot.

Converting to a pc

Hi,

This machine was never intended to be a PC. It does not have any standard PCI slots, only PCI-X slots. You can get PCI-X sound cards but these will be expensive if you are able to find then. You can try to search to buy PCI-X sound cards in google.
