Samsung refrigerator freezer model RF4287 has OF codes showing on both freezer and refrigerator. Cannot reset by unplugging for 3 seconds or pressing codes for three seconds. How can this be fixed

Hello Mary;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

Ok, on the left hand side of your refrigerator display board there are two selector buttons. Press on both at the same time for 3 seconds. This will take you out of the OF mode.

Freezer says off

Unplug freezer to reset, if display still says off when plugged back in and will not change then I would have to say the t-stat/board is done for and will need to be replaced.

Once you have baked a cake, how do you store it?

Cakes are actually pretty flexible as they can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days, in the fridge or the freezer. You can keep cakes frozen for up to 2 months, but make sure that you wrap them well or they will take on smells from food in the freezer.

My new frigidaire freezer the digital display on outside of door flashes off what to do?

Hello - Typically "OF" indicates that the freezer is turn off. To activate freezer, press UP three times until display shows "1" then press UP to desired setting. If it will not allow you to change setting and freezer continues to be off, try resetting the freezer by unplugging it or flipping the breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn it on. If "OF" continues to display, the unit could possibly have a communication problem with the electronic control assembly. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

How do you defrost the kelvinator cyclic 300 fridge?

hi,
a manual defrost? unplug and get a 9by11 cake pan and a bunch of towels and a hairdryer. put the hairdryer on LOW only and get it positioned in the freezer (door) compartment so its pointing towards the back. cake pan in the bottom towels below. and on the floor. leave the door open about 3 or 4 inches but NOT shut so you have some air circulation. and check it frequently. make sure the hair dryer isnt pointed at the plastics at all. takes a day. pull it from the wall, remove the rear access cover behind the fridge and blow it out with a vac or air compressor too. theres an access panel inside the freezer and if your handy, your ice blockage causing that problem lives behind there in the freezer. use caution if your going to attempt taking that plate off inside. use nothing sharp.

Display says "Loc On" and the bake part of the stove is not on, which I need it to be on!!! I am in the middle of baking a cake and this display came on somehow! Please reply!

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes.
