Volume goes full blast when turned up from zero to just a "1" onscreen

This set has a good picture, but when you turn the sound all the way down it is queit, of course. as soon as you hit the volume up, and it goes to a "1", the set blasts with volume. i tried to change the audio output, but no difference.
I am a tech, by the way...have never seen this, though...

Please help with any info...

Thanks in advance,
fred

I have seen a similar problem. get to design mode (that trick with the remote mute & the set menu button) & look for a data address in the audio section that is set to all (F)s. sorry i can't remember the exact address. you could always just guess just make sure you write down where they are currently set .
Hope this helps.

I have a RCA XS Stero TV. I don't have remote. I connected DVD player right connections. But I am not getting any picture in the Screen. Actully it is showing Blue screen all the time. No TV picture also....

Sounds like you're stuck on..... Video 1 or Video 2 (whichever). If you can access your TV's menu at the front panel, you should be able to switch over fairly easy. Hit MENU. Using your VOLUME UP & DOWN buttons, Go to CABLE/SATELITE/ANTENNA, hit VOLUME UP or DOWN 'til it switches back to TV picture then hit ENTER. If you do not have an access panel in front but possibly have any other remote (cable or satelite or home theater, etc...) that can be paired with this TV and has an INPUT button, you can change the setting that way.

Hope this info was helpful. Good Luck!

No sound (ringer, keyboard, etc.)

You may have hit the mute button, you may have turned the volume down using the buttons or you may have accidentally put it in airplane mode or another mode where "sound off" is specified.
Hit the volume mute button, hit the volume up button, go to settings for the volume option, go to the settings menu and change the mode that the phone is set to a standard mode

I have this camera and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to turn that sound off. It's odd because I have an IS-DV2+ also and if I turn the volume all the way down, that sound is muted as welll. I don't know what goes on at Aiptek...

change the audio ic it has a short within.this will restore your set to normal dont forget to make checks in that same circuit as there might be resistors, diodes or caps that had contributed to the failure of the ic.good luck.

Volume goes up on its own and stays up.

Aren you sure that the volume up button is not stuck in . It should feel just like the rest of them A little click? It could still be shorted,or the capacitor across the switch could be defective. If all this seems good then the eeprom, or the microprocessor,or the line or trace going to the volum button could be shorted. This is not a repair you should attempt unless your a tech. Now the button thong can be looked at after the set is unpluged and the back is off, gently slide out the chassis toward the rear of the set just a little and slide it back to see if the button is released. if that dosent help then you will need to take the set to The repair center. Good Luck
