Question about Nintendo DS Console
I dropped my ds and broke the case, so have managed to get a new one. The only trouble is that you are supposed to put the wire that attaches the top and bottom through a slot in the bottom part. How can i do this when the wire is attached at both ends. Don't want to pull the wire incase I can't get it back together. Any ideas welcome.
Check You Tube for a video that shows how. It is a tough repair, and I would not recommend the average person attempting it.

The ribbon wire comes off the motherboard by carefully lifting the black plastic at the frontedge in the connector. This releases the wire allowing you to thread it through the case and then re-connect it.
Hope this is of help to you.

Tips for a great answer:

These cables or ribbon cable and wire connects directly inside the upper LCD monitor. it is not feasible to replace these wires only. I suggest you see about getting a replacement upper LCD screen which will give you the wires you need and a new screen to boot. Another porblem is the case itself is very hard to disassemble. You will come near destroying the case to ge to the lcd. You must disassemble the unit fully and put the correct curl in the ribbon cable to get it to fit right. In short, the price being what it is for a replacement LCD, and the trouble you have to go though to get this problem fixed, It may not be totally worth repairing. If you dont care and wish to do a repair, then my wishes for luck are with you.
