well it is not the memory because I have 1256 mb total of two banks in two slots and I tried it one bank at a time in either slot and still the same issue .As far as reinstalling win it freezes when I start the new instalation at the begining and a blue screen pops up. i also reset the bios setings to the defaults and still the same thing

The video card get too hot as windows is not loading stays at the page where it says windows could not start. I disasembled the whole lasptop and put it back together but did not notice no visible signs of damage and it ran fine until I shut it off and restarted it again and it did not load. I know videocards get hot but as I held my finger ontop of the heatsink for 3 deconds it started to burn my finger and on top of that windows was not even runnig it was at the could not start win normaly screen.

So I suspect it is the videocard if not both the mother board and the card

I replaced the motherboard and videocard with original used parts. Now the computer boots up fine but freezes completely a minute after boot up. The only things that I reused from the original motherboard were the processor and the dvd/battery module . The new videocard gets hot but not as hot as the one that I replaced .Also the processor heat sink gets quite ot but the fans seem to run ok and overall the laptop doesnt get very hot when it is in that frozen state. Could the problem be in the processor ? because like I said it is one of few old parts left.

Hi, it surely is the heating problem, the cpu is getting overheated, if u can notice the cooling fan speeed not sufficient or unplug the cpu and apply some heatsink compound on the CPU surface and then install the fan, Fan also might me choked with dust, the surface contact between CPU and the heat sink is very impt. if there is some air gap then blowing an external fan on cpu wont help atall...if u touch the heatsink and feel that its too hot then the heat transfer is ok, u will then need to replace the fan.. let me know..

Most probably is the memory, try to test it !

also could be the settings in BIOS, regarding "cache" memory allocation.

And of course, try to reinstall u're windows....

    try testing u;re memory with a specialized soft (ex : memtest86+) !!!

also do a BIOS update / downgrade

try remounting all components (mem, hard,cd drive remove all extention cards, remove and reinsert video card (if possible) ) Also check if it gets to hot ...chipset and CPU (u can try to put a large fan to blow on them and try reinstalling windows and see if the error ocures in the same place, if so than the temperature is not u;re problem )

And u can also try to boot and use a linux live cd, or even install one, to see if u get errors or all is ok ...

U can also test with a windows vista OS, to see again if any errors happen ...

If u;ll get errors on all OS than u definitely have a hardware problem, if not ....most probably is just a BIOS setting (also look at the hidden settings ) or an error happens but it affects only XP (unlikely but possible )

hope u'll make it work ....

There can be a problem in the processor (the processor can work fine until the soft. uses the functions that coresponds with the damaged part....) ! Try to use a processor testing software (i know that there are ....but don't know any....).

Also do try a live cd linux distribution, if it crashes there too, than u defenetly have a damaged component (and if u say that the cpu is the only unchanged part ...than that is u're problem ). Also if u\re in console mode in linux, u'll most probably get a text message with the error, and thus know for sure where the problem is...

If u have where, u should try to use u're cpu on another computer, and if that one has the same manifestations, than change the cpu ....

It could be a bad memory module or just not properly seated in the slot. Does it work when you remove what you just added?

Hi,

This is a problem with the drivers for your motherboard video. You need to download and install the latest intel video drivers from your PC Manufacturer. Intel has "locked" them so you can only use the ones from your OEM PC Vendor.

So many computer face this blue screen fetal errors on windows.

This error comes usually when there is problem in software or driver compatibility issue with hardware or operating system.
Also this error comes when there is bed indexing unit in hard drive.
You can solve this errors with following 2 methods.
(1)When you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode.
Then if you are able to enter in safe mode then uninstall driver or software which you installed recently and face this error.
(2)If you are not able to enter in safe mode Then you need to fix error on hard drive. For that you need windows disk or recovery disk.
Boot your computer with that disk
For that when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 "del" key to enter in bios.
Then go to boot menu and set frist boot device as your cd or dvd rom.
Then save settings and exit bios.
Insert windows disk in cd /dvd rom.
Then it boot with that disk. Then you get this message "Press any key to boot from cd.."
Then press any key.
Then follow the procedure then enter in recovery console mode then type in prompt "chkdsk /r"
Then type "y"
Then it fix error on hard drive.
Then check if again you are not able to enter in windows then boot again and this time choose "R" option for repair previous windwos " then it repairs old windows then it loads again old windows.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Page fault in nonpage area

Restart the Computer and keep tapping the F8 key for 5 to 7 seconds to display the Advanced Boot Option screen. On that screen, select "Last Known Good Configuration" option. Furthermore, if you've installed any new hardware then uninstall it.

Once the Computer is able to boot successfully, run "chkdsk /f /r" utility to detect and repair any disk errors.

Faulty hardware, a buggy system service, anti-virus software, and a corrupted NTFS volume can all generate this type of error.

Blue Screen with various STOP error messages appearing.

This is a tough one to troubleshoot since there are several issues which can result in this error. Let me start by listing known causes.

Corrupt pagefile.sys file
Corrupt or wrong drivers for system devices. printer, camera, ect.
Corrupt program drivers, adobe elements, capture card software.
Bad System Ram Modules.

You didn't specify if you installed anything new, hardware or software but to trouble shoot this issue begin by download Memtest86. This will test your system boards memory for errors.
If your ram passes the test you might try removing other devices such as printers and its software. Testing the issue after each uninstall.

Last you can try replacing system files or performing a system repair using your operating system cd. If you need to run the repair option and need help just post back here.

Hope this helps.
