Question about Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS Receiver
I have used Garmin Nuvi 650,660&680... All are always behind by 500feet. You wil go past a intersection and the Garmin will tell you to turn the problem isthat its too late, your past the intersection...
I called customer service and they told me to update my software. I did that while I was on the phone with them. I sent the 680 in and they sent me another one. It too was off. My neighbor took me to a dr office 50 miles away and I gave him the address and he put it in his older Garmin and it was off by even bigger distance. My customer service person told me that there was nothing she could do. She even got mad at me and got very rude as if she had been answering the same questions all day. Is there any solution that you guys know of? Please help me and all other Garmin users that spent anywhere from $500-1000 per unit.
Is WAAS enabled? If not then turn it on. This will give you better accuracy. You could also try using an external antenna if something inside the car or the windshield is causing interference with the GPS signal.
How fast are you traveling when approaching the turn?
