Re: usb downloads

You mean download stuff to it's Memory Stick? Simply go to My computer and locate the Memory Stick which shows as removable storage. Over there are folders. Dump the correct files in the correct folders.

I am trying to connect my usb um185c to my ps3 but it doesnt work how do i connect my um185c modem to the playstation 3 without an ethernet cable

You can only do it by connecting your PS3 to PC with an Ethernet cable

- Right click Cricket Broadband Connection>>Properties>>Advanced Tab>>Click on allow other network users to connect through his connection>>Click OK
- Click create a new connection under Network Tasks in Network Connections window
- Connection Wizard comes up >>Click Next Click Set up home/office network
- Click Finish>>Click Next 2x>> If found disconnected hardware comes up click Ignore box
- Click Next>>Click This computer connects directly to internet(1st option)>>Click next
- Select Cricket BB>>Next>>Select Ethernet Connection that shows up, deselect any other that may appear>>Click Next 3x
- Turn on File and Printer Sharing>>Click Next 2x>>Click Finish
- Must restart PC to apply settings
- Once PC restarts Start menu>>Control Panel>>Network and Internet connections>>Network Connections
- Right click Cricket BB>>Properties>>Advanced Tab>>Firewall Settings>>Click to off
- Do same for ne LAN connection. Right click>>Properties>>Advanced Tab>>Firewall settings>>Click to Off
Restart PC again, as it is booting up turn on ps3>>Connect to Cricket BB

My controller wont register with the ps3 anymore and i have the cable to charge it and it still doesnt work the lights just keep flashing but it doesnt register

Try another controller and see if that will register, if that doesn't try another usb cable for the controller and if the controller still doesn't register then that means the controller board is bad and would need to be replaced.

I can't find where is the option for usb charge in settings-system settings.... I need to charge my psp with an usb cable, what to do?

didnt i already try to answer this, gosh ok man if you have a 1000[phat psp's] it doesnt have a usb charge option

so since your not telling me ehat version you have, its in system settings and if it not there for your 2000 or 3000 psp it could be the firmware,

so make sure your looking correctly, look in system settings and its one of the top options called usb charge set to on,

now if its not there then check on the bottom of your psp where theres a barcode sticker, if you see PSP-1000 then you cant recharge it cause it doesnt have the feature

Video and audio dont work

you may want to call sony. make sure that your ps3 is clean and dust free, that the vent doesn't have anything blocking it. make sure that your cables are connected tightly, in the rear of the ps3 as well as on your tv.

Console unable to play

I had this exact problem (drive stopped reading discs, then firmware update stopped at 71% with error 8002F14E). It is not a software / firmware issue, the problem is with your Blu-ray drive. Either one of the cables connecting it to the motherboard is damaged, or perhaps there is a problem with the laser or diode. In my case, the clip attachingthe drive's ribbon cable to the motherboard had come undone. Luckily, I managed to fix it myself, and the firmware update finished smoothly after that.

If you're not comfortable with opening the console and checking out the drive yourself, you'll have to send it in for repairs (since, as I said, it is generally a hardware problem, not something you can fix by redownloading the firmware or whatever).

Downloading games from internet

If you're looking to download games from the Playstation Store, just go to, select your region, then select the type of game you want. If you want a real PSP game, select "UMD Legacy". If you want a PS One Classic, select that. Once you pay for and download your game, you need a USB cable with a standard USB end to your computer and a mini b end for the PSP. Most digital cameras use this cable as well, as do other portable electronic devices. You may already have one. If not, head to any video game store or electronics retailer and you'll find the cable you need. After that, happy gaming!
