I've been trying to install ar 5316e on my system to no avail

You try to full reinstall and also u should select the windows 7 driver. And its 32 bit & 64 bit available.You check it your system aalso,its 32 bit you installed the same 32 bit.

Try to use another USB port or another USB cable otherwise there appears to be a virus in your computer system. Try to format the computer and install the software again.

Ch means the side door is not closed or the toner is not installed correctly.

Your heater lamp maybe busted.

Use the simulation 14 to cancel the error..

If nothing happens then you need to check your heater lamp.

You can install it from the cd that came with the copier and then share the printer on the network and assign it a name.It will appear on the list of available printers.

According to sharp information the 5316e is not supported by Vista, the 5316n version is ( N for networking). They would require different drivers because they are different in the way they print. However, here is a link for a vista driver for the "E" version. This is for 32bit vista and not 64bit.

You are more than likely going to be connecting to the copier with a USB cable. Install the software first and plug in the USB cable.

are you sure it is for a Vista or is it trying to load to a Windows based OS???

Personally I do not like their site it is not as user friendly as other sites. ( have to do a lot of research to find what you want)
