Question about Pioneer DVL-909 DVD Player
I purchased a Pioneer DVL-909 DVD/Laserdisc combo unit 10 years ago and it has never given me any trouble with playback or anything. Today, I tried to switch it on and though it tries to cue up, the disc tray will not open. I also don't hear the whir of the motor like I used to when it would try to cue up a disc. I tried switching off the power and also unplugged the power chord, but to no avail. Is my unit fried? Is there some way of fixing this? Is it worth fixing? I don't have the manual, so would appreciate any assistance. I'm a total novice, so I apologize if the question is stupid.
Sounds like a belt is slipping.
wont open, wont close, makes clicking/grinding noises etc.
