Re: enhanced video/TV missing in Device configuration

You could use a VGA to S-Video Cable or any combination you need.

Re: enhanced video/TV missing in Device configuration

After looking at the specs of the think pad T43 i think you need a new laptop. The port you need to transfer video from a computer is called S-video. Your laptop don't have it. Srry.

You could look into some sort of breakout box that you could plug into your VGA out port and from there to a TV. The VGA out port is for adding a stand alone monitor and is not compatible with most TV's.

Lost Live TV after windows 7 Utimate system reinstall

is the usb connector and aerial all connected properly?

did the device driver install properly?

is ur computer PICKING UP ur Aerial and usb connector device?

is it classified as "Unknown" in device manager?

-- Uninstall ur TV Drivers, Reinstall ur TV Drivers, Restart ur computer, check all the use cables DONT use any usb adapters that would require more power for the usb and aerial. (i,e, use 1 single port not a 3 port adapter with the aerial attached) MAKE SURE its away from anything magnetic or electrical (fridges, tvs, radios)

Try again. if it worked before theres no reason why it shouldnt work now, think about what u have done differently -- how could it affect it now? how could that make a difference?

if nothing. its probably just ur drivers.

How can I connect acer aspire 5733z 4816 to HD tv to view internet content on my t.v.? example netflix or pandora

If you have a connection to the Internet, you can watch episodes of your favorite TV shows directly on your computer, using only a web browser. Many websites offer libraries of television shows and movies to watch for free with limited advertisements. Using your laptop can allow you to connect and watch TV from just about anywhere, as long as there is an Internet connection.

Visit a popular TV show streaming website. Use credible resources when watching and streaming media online to protect your personal information. Some popular television networks now allow the viewing of their shows online for free, in case you missed an old episode or in case you're on the go. Look through genres and categories that interest you and use the website's search bar if they have one available. Search for the TV show you are looking to watch. Choose and select the show you want to watch and click on it to see if there are any further instructions required regarding using the website. Watch the TV show on your laptop by pressing "Play" on the video player. If it is not working, you may need additional plugins to run your video and sound software. Get a collection of VFW or ACM codecs, Directshow filters for your media files Microsoft DirectX Redistributable

Connecting Toshiba Lap Top to NEC LCD TV

From user manual (page 68):
Your computer comes with a built-in display panel, but you can also
connect an external display device to an available video port, as
❖ An external monitor or projector via the RGB (monitor) port
❖ A TV, VCR, or DVD recorder via the S-video (TV-out) port
Before connecting an external monitor or video projector, configure
your computer for the type of device you are connecting. To do this,
refer to the documentation for your operating system and devices

So you have to use an RGB cable or a S-video cable : your cable should be plugged into 15 pin VGA port in your PC and plug it into a correspondent port in your TV.
Try also S- video and select correponding input in your TV set (Both connection type DO NOT carry sound: use your audio connector from PC to TV audio input.)
Configure your extended screen using your manual instruction:
Once you have connected an external display device, you can
choose to use the internal display only, the external device only, or
both simultaneously. The quickest way to change the display output
settings is to use the display hot key (Fn + F5):
1 Press Fn and F5 simultaneously.
2 While holding down Fn, press F5 repeatedly until the setting
you want takes effect. Briefly pause each time you press the F5
key to allow time for the display to change.
This hot key cycles through the settings in the following order:
❖ Built-in display only
❖ Built-in display and external monitor simultaneously
❖ External monitor only
❖ Built-in display and TV
❖ TV only

Connecting Laptop to LCD

VGA cable doesn't carry any audio: use your audio output from PC into TV audio Input (standard RCA).
You need to configure your Display Properties to manage TV screen to get an effective connection.
Either you have a generic Video Grafic Driver add on (I'm using Intel Graphic accelerator) on your display properties either you are using a specific (NVIDIA) driver for your video card.
To check go to CP/ Display, settings Tab and in advanced you should be able to check your choice (if you don't want to go to user manual.
You can also (in CP/ Display, Settings tab configure TV as a monitor and select your option accordingly: use screen resolution on screen # 2 not over native resolution of your VIZIO screen (1080 x 960?) and be sure to use all the parameters as TV can accept.
As soon as TV is configured as per resolution and refresh etc..
check the presentation function on your PC: it's normally a FN key showing a screen icon on key top (on my Acer travelmate is FN + F5) on aspire may be it's FN + F4.
This function key will circle between: PC mail screen -> External screen (as you configured on Display settings) -> both screen.

I have IBM T43 laptop. i want to connect it to a TV. How can i go about it.

You need to get a VGA to <whatever tv input you want> for example a vga to rca component cable, or a VGA to HDMI cable, etc. You can purchase these online.
