I need to reconnect the televion and have apparently messed up everying. The televison is just feeding off another television that is connected to satellite. We just had the tv on channel 3 and watched...

If you are trying to watch a diffrent show than from the main tv you will need to get another satellite box. If you do not want to get another box you will only beable to watch what the main tv with the box is watching. To do this just put the tv on chanal 3 and watch wat the main tv is watching.

I have been installing satellite Tv for the last 15 years. If you would like more help please ask. I will try to help you more.

Good Luck

Phillips dvdplayervideorecorder connect w/zinwell converter box

First off get the TV on the right channel. It will either be ch3 or ch4. If you are using a cable box the dvd/vcr combo will have to be on ch3 or ch4 as well. OK, Make sure the input connector on the combo is hooked to the output connector of the cable box and the output connector of the combo is hooked to the input connector of the tv. Deal with one part at a time. First hook the combo to the tv and get the tv on the right channel (ch3 or ch4) so that you can see a pre-recorded dvd or video play. Then you will know what channel the tv is supposed to be on. When you find it don't bother the tv channel any more. Stop the dvd or video and hook up the cable box and turn on the cable box and set the box to a known good channel. Now put the combo on ch3 or ch4 with the combo's channel selector buttons until you see the cable box playing on the tv (remember you already set up the tv channel). Change channels on the box but don't bother the channels on the tv or combo anymore. You can put the box on whatever channel you want. The box will be your channel selector. I certainly hope that this helps. I know it can be confusing but don't give up. Just remember that the tv and combo have to always be on ch3 or ch4 (which ever one you found before). Good luck and thanks.

I had comcast cable connected. The digital adaptation has taken place. I have a Sony SLHF450 Beta video recorder which I'd like to hook up to play old movies, but I don't know how. Where is the setting for...

On the player/recorder you should have jacks on the back that say INPUT.
On the comcast box you will have jacks that say OUTPUT. You will want to run cables from the ouputs to the inputs. Then you will want to turn the tv on to the INPUT of AV channel or channel 4 to watch. You can get the cables at a hardware store or walmart, kmart, ect.

I TRIED TO SET UP MY OLD ADMIRAL TV TO A MAGNAVOX CONVERTER BOX. The instructions to go further never came up. My tv is on channel 3. A christian channel came up and that is as far as i could go. Thank...

You need to set up the convertor box to scan for all channels that are available in your area. Go to the menu of the convertor box from the remote and scan all channels. Then you will see for channels. Make sure you have a good antenna attached to find the signals.
Good Luck

Doesn't get all cable channels

With the menu set to cable signals, the autoprogram should catch all of the cable channels. The Cable Channel option allows you to use either channel 3 or 4 as the "cable" channel. This is when you have an external box that you use to tune in cable rather than the TV directly. The easiest way here is to autoprogram the TV while playing a VCR tape. That will insure that channel 3 is included.

Does the autoprogram fail?

Can't get to "Video 1" to play DVDs

try turning your dvd player on and then doing a channel search if that does not work just buy a RF modulator and hook up your dvd player to it and it will run on channel 3 or 4 and will switch over by itself when you turn on your dvd player
