How to change my language to English

I bought my 3rd generation ipod online but it looks like its in chinese. I need english but I cant navigate the screens because obviously I dont know what I'm doing. Can anyone help me to change it to English.

    I knew I could change it in settings but because I can't read Chinese then I don't know which of the 10 options is the Language option. I need step by step help to navigate through the Chinese language to change it to English

    My ipod nano's language was in english, but my five year old brother came and somehow changed it to chinese! How do I change it back?

Yes sertanly go to setting if not conect to your computer and do it manualy look for drive g or just down load itunes

    switch ipod on,the very top one is music,slowly scroll down if its on a click menu,count 5,which is settings,click middle button,click down 2,this gives you the main menu,go right down the very bottom till it goes no further this gives you reset main menu,click middle button again, move down one,at the very top is the english language,i have gone through my ipod step by step,its the same as yours,as long as you go slowly what i have given you here should help you out,let me know how you get on.ok?

Is firmware needed to restore my screen is lock dont know code
connect the ipod to system and when detected as a removable disk,goto ipod_control>device ,locate _locked and delete or rename the file....that will unlock your ipod

I think I have messed up!!
I can definitely Fixya!
Ill walk you through it.
Get on the main menu screen.
Settings if the 5th one down on the main menu
Language is the 13th one down on that Settings page.
See if you can do it that way if not. at the bottom of the settings page regardless of language it should say "Reset all settings" and that should let you choose a language.

If none of these work and you dont mind restarting all over with your ipod you can Visit apples page about how to reset an ipod. ( http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1339?viewlocale=en_US ) After reset it will allow you to select your desired language. which im assuming will be English.

Ihome ih9 wont work with 3rd generation ipod nano
Look at the Box and the Manual! 3rd Generation is not supported by iH9! Clearly marked on the Manual.

Change the settings
i got one off ebay just a few fays ago and the language was stuck in chinese, so after just testing the MP34 i found out how to change the langauge into English.

Click into the 'two rotating items',
Then, go down to the 4th settings, i.e 04/11. This is Languages.
After entering that, click into the 2nd option. i.e 02/25. This is English settings.
And hopefully it should be done.

press menu button on the click wheel until you get to the main screen (screen doesn't change anymore) select the 3rd option down, then the 13th option down. then english
