Question about Televison & Video
I had this TV in my basement for the past 13 years with hardly any use. Maybe 100 hours total. I recently moved and sold the unit and during the move the unit fell on its back. The buyer said they first had to reset the convergence and then they kept having to do it. They finally left it like it was and then the picture just started "zigging & zagging& jumping". Now they cannot get any clear picture. The unit has never given me trouble up until the move.
Sounds like a solder issue either in the horizontal / Vertical deflection circuits due to the fall. I would check out the solder joints especially around the heat sinks. Hope this helps. If you provide the Chassis number for the RCA I can be better equipped to give you component locations to inspect.
