I have an Alpine IVA-D310 in dash dvd player and it will play dvd's just fine but not cd's, any suggestions? When i put in a cd it says disk error most of the time, but if i do get a cd to play, it will only play for about a minute or two and then the audio starts to corrupt and be garbled and then eventually it says disk error, but when i put in a dvd it loads and plays just fine?
As last resort you might try a firmware upgrade if available. Otherwise the unit needs to be replaced since laser mechanism has lost the ability to focus on and play back cd's. Repair not cost effective so ..............
