Re: laptop has some sort of adware

There's various amount of anti-spyware tools available. I'm going to link you some:

- Virus Scanners (Free)
AVG AntiVirus 7.5 Free Edition [download]

Anti Spyware solutions:
- Spyware Blaster [download]
- Spybot: Search & Destroy [download]
- Ad-Aware 2007 [download]
- CCleaner [download]

You can install some of these. Some of them are scanners some only create a preventive blocklist. Tell me what they find and don't hesitate to ask me how to use them. I'll be glad to help.

Good luck, keep me posted!

My recommendation: Install XP.
Well, not that there actually something wrong, but it initially came with XP or Vista. It depends. HP puts it a XP. Check your MS Product key sticker.

It is a simply determination that the laptop just does not have a enough resources to run Win 7 effectively. How do I know, I am using an HP 2.3GHz with XP. I tried Win 7 awhile back and immediately removed it. If fact, I do clean install of XP at least once a year. I do test more software than most.

Here is my Slow Windows Machine! default fix.
  • Sounds like not enough resources such as RAM and CPU. Check Performance in Task-Manager (CTRL-ALT-DELETE).
  • Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. Startup tab and uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when you initiate.

Oh yea, in your case disable AREO, and u
se a virus protection with a smaller footprint. Like MS Security Essentials. My PC just couldn't handle McAfee or the likes.

E-mail not loading properly on PC/how do I fix?

How is your internet connection? I ran that same problem last year, so I upgraded to a faster internet and didnt ran into that problem again. You might want to check how much memory you are using, once you are reaching the limits it tends to be slower in operating, (running programs, internet, turning on etc...)

Laptop has become slow ,Could it be the RAM

Run sytem tools and do a disc cleanup. Then run a disk defragment.
Also keep up with the cleaning of unnecessary files such as deleting browsing history etc. I recommend CCleaner - it even has a registry cleaner that is very safe and effective. it is a freeware program and works great. Also try running Malwarebytes, that removes adware spyware (again its freeware) as that could be slowing you down.

The make model and manufacturer of your laptop, which OS are you on??
Assuming you are running windows, since techs have already looked at this, I would assume its your hard drive or a milicous software running.
-Remove any spyware and viruses, just simply install microsoft defender and let it complete the definitions from the internet.
Schedule a scan on your hard drive with auto fixation of error and bad sectors.
Finally if nothing helps, save your data, reformat the hard drive and install a fresh OS. Make sure your hard drive is fine and has NO bad sectors.
HOpe that helped!
