Need to replace the circuit board on an IN72 Big Picture
Any thoughts on where to purchase this replacment part. I over screwed the mounting plate and accidentally cracked the circuit board underneath. They want to charge me $379 plus shipping. The projector cost only $599. Any thoughts on how I might go about replacing this part and buying one online? Thanks.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.
I replace my Bruan 7680 battery. I place the order for battery from Amazon, cutter& foil from goodmans.net. The following is my procedure
1.Using a small flat screw driver to plier the plastic socket lock (Where the charging located )
2.Disassemble left and right plastic holder
3.Disassemble plastic cover top and bottom
4.Take out the circuit board where the battery mounted on. Please be careful at this process you could ruin the circuit board while taking the old battery out(I used a soldering and a small wood stick just to take the extra flux away from contact to other on the circuit board). It is not as difficult as I thought.
5.During your install a new battery please make sure that the batter pole does not go the same way(Check direction of a battery before
taking it out so you do not put in the wrong direction)
6.Putting them back together.
#special tool required to take out the circuit board from a mounting? My the battery replacement came with the tool)
this is a picture of your alternator(presuming that your 1500 is the 4.3). Assuming that you already took off the belt and the you disconnected the wire in the rear that screws on and the wiring harness that plugs in there should only be the two bolts that hold it into place. Sometimes you made need to gently persuade the component from it's original place as with road grime, time, and intermittent heating and cooling they can really try to stay where they are. Should there be a mounting plate I would suggest feeling around the mating surfaces and trying to locate any secondary bolts. Usually though it's just the two large mounting bolts.
If convergence out ICs got defective, TV shows 3D look picture. Replace convergence out ICs on D Board, these are two big black ICs with similar number mounted on aluminum heat sink, if you are good ij soldering parts in circuit board, then can replace it easily or call local TV tech for replacement. Let me know further question, if any. Thanks.
The good news is that this is a relatively easy item to remove and replace, as Broan makes a replacement fan/motor unit (sub assembly) that you can swap out for the old one.
All you need to do is pull down on the trim vent plate and then squeeze the wire retainer clips together to remove the grill/trim.
Once you've done that, you can unplug the fan portion of the exhaust fan unit from the base enclosure. Now simply remove the screw or nut that holds the fan and mounting plate into the enclosure and simply pull it down and pivot it out of the enclosure - you might have to push in on the side of the enclosure where you removed the screw/nut to get the fan and metal plate out of the cabinet.
You can get a replacement fan unit at most Big Box home stores (Home Depot or Lowe's) or at an electrical supply house. Just bring the old one with you so you can be certain you get the right one. The replacement fans come with a new metal mounting plate that fits many of the older exhaust fans, but if your's looks different or doesn't work, you can remove the fan and install the new one onto your old metal fan mounting plate. Instructions are typically included in the replacement unit packages. This is also very simple to do with only 2 screws holding the fan onto the mounting plate.
Once you're done, simply hook the edge of the plate back into the fan enclosure and then push it up and fasten the mounting screw/nut onto the plate and plug the fan into the ceiling enclosure and replace the grill plate and you're all set!
yes just take out the 1/4 inch screws from the plate on the back of the fridge and unclip the board. There will be quite a few plugs but no worries cause they will only plug into the ports they will made for so you don't need to worry about plugging the wrong wire in anywhere.
My understanding when we purchased our IN72 2 years ago is that there wasn't any additional benefit for Cable box using HDMI since the IN72 does not transmit audio so using component cables for cable was optimized enough. We have our DVD player connected via the HDMI only. Possibly the transmission from cable box through an HDMI is not compatible audio is confusing it? hard to say. Cable HD channels look awesome thru the compenent cables, the max for IN72 is 480i anyway.
We've got 35 ft cables for all 3 hdmi, compenent, and that vcr one too and it's worked great.
This is a Common problem, you have shorted convergence amplifiers, some of these have a small board that is mounted behind the CRT's with a red plug/blue wire, these are incredibly easy to replace, some samsungs have the convergence circuits mounted on two tall heatsinks on a big board with the high voltage transformer (has 3 big red leads comming out of it) and requires alot more work to replace, if you are uncertian I would call the repair man, you can look to spend around $350-500 I would suspect, if you call someone might ask what convergence board replacement would cost.
