Phone dropped in water- 2 problems

I have the kx-tg5633 phones. I dropped in water few days ago. I removed battery and let dry. Problem 1: when I replaced battery the phone turned on and I was able to make calls and I could hear the other person. Unfortunately, the other person cannot hear me at all. Problem 2: Since I thought the phone was working ok, I returned it to the cradle (2 days after it got wet). The phone doesn't appear to be charging and the bottom of the handset and battery are hot to the touch. It still turns on, has all contact info, dials, and places the call. Is there any hope?

It sounds like like the phone's microphone isn't working. That's why the other party can't hear you. Your ear piece is working because you say you can hear the other party.

What makes you believe that the battery isn't charging? Batteries will get warm when they are charged. This is normal. However, you say "hot". How hot is "hot"? Can you keep your hand and fingers on it without discomfort?

I don't believe you can plug the battery in backwards. That would cause the battery to get hot if the + and - were swapped. The battery connector is polarized to prevent that from happening.

There still may be water in the micophone and the phone that you can't see. I would find a way to make sure its really dried out.

The best way would be to take the handset apart but that isn't always easy to do for most people. However it would give you a chance to inspect the microphone.

You might try placing it in front of a hot air register that is putting out warm air from your furnace. Remove the battery & battery cover so that the warm air can get into the inside.

The microphone have have been damaged from the exposure to water.

Dropped the cell phone or mobile in water

Dropped the cell phone in water
If you would have accidently dropped your cell phone in water or it fell in water you can try fixing it be these below tips
1. Remove the battery of the mobile and try drying it with a hair dryer
2. Put the cell phone in a raw rice container for a day, the rice will soak the moisture and the mobile will become dry from inside
3. After that put the battery back on and try switching, there are more chances now that it will work
4. Never try to instantly switch on the cell phone after taking it out from water you should follow the above steps, switching it on instantly can lead to short circuit in mobile and the cell software can get damaged
5. You can also put the phone in light sunlight (not in very hot direct sunlight) after removing the battery do not put the battery in sunlight though
6. Also make sure you keep the SIM card out of the mobile

By taking these steps you can make a fair attempt to save your mobile from dying.

If i dropped iphone in the snow and couldn't find

It might work.
Remove the battery and dry the phone for a few days in a warm dry location. Replace the battery and charge the phone overnight then switch the phone on and see if it works, if not it may not be worth repairing, get a repair quote then you can decide whether to get a new phone.

Assalam o alaikum. my cell drop into water tommorrow next day working right.but now many of buttons are not working??? what i can do for this? Thanks

Number 1 rule if your phone gets wet... DO NOT turn it on.
Remove the battery from the phone. get a small ziploc freezer bag place phone in bag pour uncooked grains of rice into bag. Enough to cover phone completely. Close bag. Let it sit for at least 2 days.
This is to absorb all the moisture from the phone. Remove phone, insert battery and try using it. It may work. But you need to wait until your phone is completely dry before attempting to use it.

I want to download jar software in my phone samsung j800 for free so please assist me

1. REMOVE THE BATTERY! Then place the phone in a bowl full of rice for a few hours (I suggest a day though). This should remove all moisture.

DO NOT TURN THE PHONE ON DURING THE DRYING TIME! This could cause PERMANENT damage!

Water get inside the phone

The manfacturers have a device within the cell phone that tells them if it got wet, which unfortunately voids any warantee. I've had luck in the past by doing this:

1. Remove the battery (important)
2. If possible, disassemble the unit as much as possible. Blow the unit out with compressed air. If that's not possible, just let it sit out and dry for at least a few days.
If you can't take the unit apart at all, just take out the battery and set the device in the sun for a few days. The object is to dry out the unit with the battery removed.

After it's dried out the best you think it's going to be, put the battery back in and give it a go. There are no guarantees with this as it doesn't always work.

Good luck.
