I'm having problem with my screen, it keeps blinking over and over even if I turn the television off for a few hours; it starts to continue to do the same thing blink.
-   About the blinking, if it's not the tube could it be just solder joints? if so which ones? If not what else could it be? (mine is a 36 in. Trinitron) Thanks! P.S. a retired TV man is who told me it might be a soldering problem. Should I spend $40 to have him re-solder it?

-   I have the same problem. It started out a few months ago as taking longer and longer to get the intial picture to come up. Then the set began to flash during normal operation. The flahing got more frequent to the point where we could not watch it anymore. The sound was nover a problem. I had a repair shop indicate it could be a few things like high voltage power supply or a vertical thing (the picture never compressed from top and bottom to the middle and back, it was a complete on/off flash) My biggest question was bout how much to fix it and should I just trash it and not spen a dime. The set is 10 years old. Unfortunately both repair shops in town have closed up and I don't know how to get rid of it if I have to.-   Bcc4Him
