Can't get network scanning working

I need a step-by-step to get this done. I followed the network scanner operations guide, but it didn't work. I created a program (dest+settings) and I see it on the front panel, and it highlights when I touch it, but the Start button stays orange. Same thing when I create an entry in the address book and try to scan that way.

Wand Scanner - panscn08 buttons do nothing

Yes follow the first steps to set up the scanner (charge it, properly insert the memory card, etc.) Then you are ready to scan
Once you press the SCAN button and the Green LED stays lit its time to roll the scanner down your document to be scanned. When finished press the Scan button again to STOP the scan. If successful your Document count in the display will move from 000 to 001. That is the only indication that you now have a successful scan.
Next Press and hold the SCAN button until the display goes blank.
Now you can remove the memory card (by pushing in and it will release). Place this memory card into a memory card reader on your computer to transfer and view your scanned documents. Rinse and repeat.
BTW, I found a quick start guide for this Pandigital Handheld Wand Scanner Model PANSCN08 at:

Good Luck!

I tried to program the codes in and it isn't working. What am I doing wrong?

Without knowing what you're doing, it's difficult to tell what you're doing wrong, but the first step is to refer to "frequencies" - not "codes". You didn't mention whether or not you have the owner's manual for your scanner, but that's where the best programming instructions can be found. If you don't have the manual, you can download and print it, at no cost, here:

http://www.uniden.com/pdf/BCT7om.pdf

You also need to make sure that you have the current frequencies for your area, and remember - your scanner will not work with trunking systems. For a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area, and a lot of other useful scanning information, visit:

The scanner is reporting an E2 error code when it draws a document in. Any ideas? Re-cycling the power clears error but comes back when I scan. thankyou in advance

Hi,

This error message means ADF front side scanning optical alarm (lower optical unit ADF) which indicates ADF (front) lamp intensity check. Please follow the steps provided below:

1. Is the upper glass (white sheet guide)of the reading section dirty?

Open the ADF, and clean the sheet guide (white part) and the glass.
# When operating the scanner, the ADF’s inside glass becomes very hot. Take serious caution as the heat can cause burns. Before you clean the inside of the scanner, turn off its power and unplug the AC adapter from the outlet and wait (at least three minutes) until it gets cold.Be careful not to pinch your fingers when the ADF cover is being closed.
Note: Cleaning should be done approximately every 10,000 sheets scanned, though it may vary depending on types of
documents scanned. More frequent cleaning is necessary when the following types of documents are scanned:
- Smooth surface document such as coated paper
- Documents printed on almost entire surface
- Documents processed with chemical materials such as carbonless paper
- Paper with a high calcium content
- Pages with pencil lead
- Document where toner is not fused sufficiently.

If the above does not help, then the issue is caused by any of the followings for which you may have to contact the Fujitsu Expert/Engineer.

1. Lower Optical unit ADF may be dirty.
2. Lower lamp may not be functioning properly.
3. The connecting cables might be damaged.
4. The connectors are not connected properly.

Hope the above information is helpful.

Regards,

TechSatya

Scanner is not functioning

The Quick Start Guide might be leaving out a step. Get the Manual and try to follow it's steps, not the Quick Start Guide. Hope this helps.

F380 hp all in one

This issue occurs if the scanning files are not installed properly. Once search for the hpqscnvw.exe file and try to scan from there and check for the result. If you are able to scan then download scan diagnostic utility from the hp.com and run it. If the issue persists reinstall the software.

My Canon Imagerunner 2200 won't scan.

Sorry that was actually me...after i posted...it asked me to register...so i did.

Okay, you need to download Canon Network scangear from the Canon website. then take your document...put it on the top feeder...turn you scanner online...open up microsoft word 2003..insert, picture....from scanner or camera select network scangear....custom insert....then scan. The machine needs to be hooked up to a network...but note...a simple cross over cable or usb between pc and the photocopier will not work.

Scanner still scanning black, I don't think it was the bulb

Well, I was HOPING that your problem was simply caused by a burned-out bulb, but since you can see a BRIGHT light when you use the scanner, the bulb is WORKING, and it is NOT the cause of your problem... Unfortunately, the only other known cause of "black scans" for your Microtek S400 scanner requires you to follow a rather complicated procedure to correct the problem, so I am in the process of typing detailed instructions for you to follow. I will post them here as an addditional comment as soon as I finish typing them, and hopefully, they will help to guide you through this process. I am posting this now simply so you will know that I am still working on helping you to resolve this; according to the Microtek Knowledge Base, there are several steps you MUST follow exactly in order to eliminate the cause of the black scans, so I ask for your continued patience while I finish my research into your problem. The instructions Microtek provides seem somewhat complicated, so hopefully, the instructions I'll post here will help you to understand the steps Microtek requires you to follow to correct this problem. Again, the solution to your problem requires that you follow several specific steps (Step 1 through Step 10), in order, depending on which version of the Scan Wizard software is installed on your system, so I will post more information here that should help to guide you through the entire process. If the first solution Microtek suggests does NOT correct your problem (following Steps 1 through 10), you will have to follow Step 11 in order to complete the process of removing the Scan Wizard software. Obviously, such a multi-step process will require a good deal of patience, and attention to details, which is why I'm trying to simplify the entire process for you... I'll post the steps here as soon as I finish typing them; please read through them, and if you have any questions for me, post them here, and I will try to answer them for you BEFORE you begin following the multi-step repair process... After seeing all of the steps involved in correcting this problem, I'm thinking of changing my screen name to ScannerHater...
