I have installed on another computer, which is older and went to install on the newer computer and get interrupted message. I have gone to the tech support - they indicated that it is something with my driver. Asked them if there is a work around they said no. I can't believe it. I have never had such a hard time installing software. My daughter says the software is awesome! Help.

Usually computer softwares are generational in compartibility. For example, the older versions were designed as compatible to older devices. Alternately, the newer versions are compartible with recent computers. However, depending on the situation where having an older computer would be more resourcesful with prior photo studios. Alternately, installing an older version on newer computers means least externsive productivity. Estimate the computers modern features to decide on acquiring either version. However, each studio is has as much productivity when installed on the appropiate generation of computer devices.
Note: Please make sure you download the correct one for your version of Photo Explosion 3.0. If you have the Deluxe version, download the Deluxe update. If you have the regular version, download the non-Deluxe update. 5. Save the update to an easily accessible location, such as your Desktop. 6. Once downloaded, go to where the update was saved and double-click the update. 7. After installing the update, you should no longer experience this problem.
Note: It is extremely important that you do not run Photo Explosion until you have restarted the computer and installed the update. If you run the program before installing the update, you will need to start the steps over from the beginning. This comes directly from the Nova FAQs. Hope this helps!
First look on the box, see if it runs on your version, and PC, Look under the SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS section, ensure you meet all the requirements. Post back if you meet the requirements and still cannot install it
I suggest a class action lawsuit. Clearly this product does not install on Vista (as advertised) - I'm having same problem and same run around.
Wouldn't mind if the packaging did not say Vista and I tried it anyway but I bought explicitly to run on my Vista machine.
I'm a sofware developer and still can't find a workaround without tearing up this OS. Clearly never tested on a Vista platform.
Hi there, This fix worked for me and I was having the same problem. Hope it works for you.
If you are on Windows XP, this can normally be resolved by setting the compatibility mode for Photo Explosion to Windows 98. You can do this by following these steps:
1) Click on the Start button. 2) Click on the My Computer. This should open a window titled My Computer. 3) Double-click on the C: drive. 4) If the information is hidden, there is normally an option to show the hidden files/folders. You will need to select this option. 5) Double-click on the Program Files folder. 6) If the information is hidden, there is normally an option to show the hidden files/folders. You will need to select this option. 7) Double-click on the Nova Development folder. 8) Double-click on the Photo Explosion folder. 9) Right-click on IPE40 icon, which looks like a camera. 10) Select the Properties option from the bottom of the pop-up menu. 11) Click on the Compatibility tab. 12) Put a check in the check-box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for". 13) From the drop-down list, chose "Windows 98 / Windows Me". 14) Click on the OK button. 15) Reboot your computer.
