Question about Epson Stylus CX6400 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Phantom Foreign Object

My CX6400 was working fine when suddenly I got the red exclamation mark and printer error message on the lcd. I installed the Status Monitor 3 and it tells me there is a foreign object in the printer. I have checked and the machine is clear. It starts up OK and feeds paper properly, but when I send it something to print this error appears. I have cleaned and oiled the printhead carriage bar to no effect. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I have an officejet 5610 all-in-one inkjet printer. There is an ornage exclamation mark next to the setup between the pound sign and the setup button that keeps blinking. How do I get it to quit. I...

The Exclamation mark is an Attention: error indicator. There is a problem that you need to fix. You need to fix the problem. Was there is any message on the LCD screen when you started having the error?

Press Cancel and try printing again since you apparently cleared the LCD message. The problem could be a paper jam, no paper in the paper tray (or the printer can't pick up the paper), an ink issue or something else.

Please add a comment with the error message for additional support. I need more information to tell you what steps are most likely to solve your problem.

Blinking wit general error message : head carriage error. It cause by head cannot move to parking position or chip at ink tank not good connected. Try to use another chip. Just turn off printer for a moment for clearing epprom.

Error message and red exclamation indication

Finally figured out the problem.
1. Took waste pad out and cleaned with paper towel. Couldn't find a replacement waste pad, so needed to clean it instead.
2. Downloaded SSC Service Utility software (free) in order to "Reset the Protection Counter". This is an option within the utility.

Printer must be on when running the SSC utility.

Good luck!
