Please check the connection of the modem to PC.
You check either the modem is connected by going to the control panel, system, hardware tab, device manager. in there u can see modem if there is. if not there is a question mark device. if non of those mention, the modem is not detected.

If see modem there then u have no problem. if it si ? then u need to install the driver of the modem. the driver is enclosed in your modem(CD/DVD disc)

If the problems still exist then, try to remove the modem and change the loaction of the connection and let the windows detect it and insert the disc if prompted.

any problem arising this solution notify me , do not rate.

HI Sir, My Samsung Corby F339 Mobule is not connect in my pc showing error 692 there was a hardware failure in the modem(or other connecting device) plz help me.....

This error usually comes when you use usb cable to connect the phone to pc . Please try to unplug the cable and plugin the USB cable to another port and try via pc suite to connect to internet. If still it is not working try to connect on another pc via same USB cable to phone. If you are getting the same error still then this means the USB cable is damaged then change the USB cable and you can connect to PC. If USB cable works with other pc then reinstall pc suite or try connecting by creating dial up connection.

I am using zte usb modem FFF1 for internet access via reliance netconnect.whenever I connect the device to laptop it is shown as storage device but as soon as i install the driver software a driver not...

The ZTE modem when initially connected to any system loads as a storage device which contains the software necessary to install the modem. Connect the ZTE and open it in Explorer. Double click the setup file (.exe) to start installation. Follow instructions and allow installation to complete. The modem is automatically installed during this setup. Once completed restart and then your ZTE functions as a modem.

Thank you for visiting Fixya Forums

Using a Jazjam as a modem:

Notes
• Before activating Wireless Modem, make sure your device has a

modem connection on your device. For more information about
setting up a GPRS connection, see "To set up a GPRS connection to

Also make sure you have connected your device to a computer (via

automatically.
To set up your device as an infrared or USB modem
1. On your device, tap Start > Programs > Wireless Modem.

Modem removed and unavailable device com1

First of all uninstall and unpluged your modem then reinstall your modem without attach it. After installing you should attach it or plug it and if required during installation you should plug it during installation.
Now create connection and run it. It will work properly.
Good Luck

Modem

That means that the OS is not seeing the modem. Can you see the modem phone connector. If you do, You may need to reinstall the modem driver.
First, Go to the Control Panel >ssyatem>Hardware > Device Manager.
Go down to ports(COM and LPT)
If Com1 is there , right click and click uninstall.
The go up the page and click on the plus sign . the right click on the modem (if it is there) and click on uninstall.
Then restart your unit.
If this does not work, you need to go to Dell's website and download the modem drivers.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

why fight it , let it be on com 1 then,
go into the bios and disable the serial ports .
that may be the easiest fix as long as you don't need the serial port for anything.
but if you have a serial mouse oh boy.
