What model is it? The Humax Terrestrial PVRs have two SCART outlets. If by chance you have connected the TV to the VCR SCART socket rather than the TV SCART socket then you will get the symptoms you describe. Plug the SCART into the other socket.

Can I reset an RM-L08 Humax freeview recorder remote control that is unresponsive

Have you tried pointing the remote at a digital camera? This will show the infra-red signal coming from the remote. If the remote is OK, it may have been set to an alternative mode.

How do I get my humax fvp4000 box to store the recordings in alphabetic order. It currently has the last recording first on the list.

Having looked at the manual it doesn't look like there is any option to change it to that. It will simply list them in the order they were recorded. With the last first.

I have a Panasonic Tx l37S10B tv set, & a PanasonicDVD recorder,DMR-EX768EB. To ensure I receive true HD i have bought a Humax Fox T2 hd Digital receiver. I use these items to receive & record HD...

Hi,

You didn't fully expain how each device is connected to the others. I don't think you have this set up correctly. Your DVD cannot record in HD so there is no point sending an HD signal to it - it can't process it. This is how I would set it up:

1. Install a 2-way splitter on the input cable
2. Connect output 1 from the splitter to the Humax receiver
3. Connect the Humax receiver to the TV with an HDMI cable
4. Connect output 2 from the splitter to the DVD
5. Connect the DVD to the TV with SCART cable.

This will enable you to watch HDTV via the digital receiver and also provide an input from source (dish/cable) to your DVD player so that you can record.

If you've already set it up this way then it should work. I suspect you've connected the Humax to the DVD and TV and also the DVD to the TV.

Please try this setup and post back if you need further assistance.

Humax digital recorder picture freeze every 10 minutes

Humax are having problems and are starting to send out software upgrades (night-time updates) - seems to be related to the new formats on the MUXs for the digital switch-over. Our 9150T hasn't been fixed yet but due any day (I hope)
