Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone
Hello, I have an unlocked apple iphone running on version 1.1.1. A few weeks ago, I accidently dropped it, and ever since I have been having issues with the voice quality/reception. I am hearing a distinct "buzzing" sound everytime someone speaks. The caller is able to hear me just fine, but I am having a hard time hearing them on my end. Voice quality is very similar to having blown your speakers on your car stereo. I have to keep the volume very low to discern what the caller is saying. If I increase the volume on the iphone, I get this distinct buzzing sound coupled with the callers voice. I have scoured the web looking for a solution to this problem, but to no avail. I have reset the phone back to 1.1.1, but no luck. I think dropping the phone has somehow affected the speaker. Apart from returning the phone to apple (i have AT&T had to get the phone unlocked because I am on an old plan), do you guys have any suggestions on how to fix this hardware problem, or can anyone guide me to someone who may be able to help me?? All other applications on the phone are working fine, including the ipod-I am able to hear music/video through the speakers just fine. Please advise!!
I have seen this before three or four times on the i-phone. Your earpiece is broken and needs to be replaced. The firmware is not going to change anything. Bring it to at&t and they will flip it or repair it for you under warranty. If that is not an option, take it to any other service center that is qualified and certified, and they should be able to do it in like 45 min time while you wait. If you cant find anywhere to do it check my profile and we can help you out. Hope this helps.
